I'm 23 years old. If I could do anything I would want to be a contortionist for a living but alas that isn't in my cards therefore psychology it is! I am very relaxed and read a lot.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

I am a second year clinical counseling psych student. I want to work with the chronically mentally ill because I think they're fun. I started my internship this summer at a community mental health agency and graduate next May after which I am planning on moving back home, getting a job, getting a car, and getting an apt (more or less in that order). That assumes that I finish my thesis on time of course!

I'm really good at Propose an edit

I'm good at listening to people and being patient. I am fairly open to a variety of things and experiences. I just recently decided that I like steampunk because it's neat.

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit

Probably my height. Officially I am 4'11 3/4" but I always round up to 5". I tend to be quiet in groups and open up after a while. I am pretty opinionated once I get to know people so watch out!

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit

I am a nerd and read a lot of fantasy and sci fi (Silver Metal Lover, the Kushiel series, the Sookie Stackhouse series, the early Anita Blake books, Robert A. Heinlein books). Recently I have started to get into medical narratives like: Stiff, The man who thought his wife was a hat, Gracefully insane, and others.

I LOVE old musicals from the 50s and 60s (ie Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, White Christmas, Esther Williams movies, all kinds of fun stuff). I also have this thing for zombie movies. Zombies as monsters scare me but I am fascinated by zombie movies (e.g. Resident Evil series)

I listen to a lot of classic rock, latin, and soundtracks. I also like old swing (Frank Sinatra, Puppini Sisters, Dinah Washington)and dance music.

As for food, I love my carbs. Potatoes, pasta, bread bring it on! My one vice is Coke/Dr Pepper, I figure it is better than other vices that exist.

Currently I get home from my internship and veg until I am too tired to stay up. I am a total homebody. I do enjoy going out and dancing when I get the chance but I don't do it enough.
