Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I enjoy surprising people and causing them to question their
preconceptions. Whatever you might guess about me based on one of
my interests or characteristics is probably contradicted by
another. I am a feminist and a coder and an athlete and a
philosopher. My life is strongly driven by my values.
I am unusually sensitive, and I see that as a positive trait. It
does mean that my life is carefully orchestrated to keep me in a
productive space, and I need those around me to not interfere with
my coping strategies. There are many upsides to being highly
sensitive, as you will see if you get to know me. ;-)
Like so many Torontonians, I am not originally from here, but it
has become my home and I love it here. Visiting other places is fun
but there is nowhere else I would rather live. I am also Canadian
to my core, it turns out (discovered during a recent stint living
in Portland, OR - a lovely place, but not home).
I am a committed cyclist and have been since I was five years old.
I have never wanted to own a car, and I love how easy it is to live
in Toronto without one.
I am passionate, thoughtful, and productive.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am feeling ever more confident about what I want to do with my
life. I am passionate about making better technology that is useful
to everyone, and even more passionate about making technology
development open to a broader range of people. To that end, I help
teach classes for beginner programmers, especially women. I also do
my best to encourage and mentor friends and acquaintances in their
job searches. I love helping with resumes, and connecting people
with potential employers!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Analysis and solutions, connecting with people, contemplating,
learning new things.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
What they usually mention is either my eyes or my enthusiasm.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
a sense of purpose
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
If I'm not out with friends, I'm probably relaxing at home with my
dog, reading or playing video games.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
is that I am actually able to tickle myself.
