I am quirky, serious, and playful.

My Self-Summary

I hate writing intros. "She's just this girl, you know?"

They say I have to have one hundred and fifty characters to sign up. ok, I'm terse, too. And concise. And a bit of a smart-ass.

I'm very inquisitive, and very literal.

What I’m doing with my life

Bringing hope to the universe. How am I doing?

I’m really good at

Splitting hairs. God, the hubris of this question. I am a modest person! I like: quilting, singing, riding my bike, canning, some cooking, making people laugh, making people comfortable, dancing, reading, stuff.

The first things people usually notice about me

What's that?

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

a) The Persistence of Vision-John Varley, The Curse of Chalion-Lois McMaster Bujold, I wish there was a new Smoke Ring book by Larry Niven, and sometimes I read a lot.
b) Rubin and Ed, Groundhog Day, Joe vs. the Volcano, Spirited Away, musicals, Jane Austen/period pieces, stuff.
c) The Proclaimers, bluegrass, Judy Garland, Big Daddy, oldies, 80's hits, big band swing, stuff.
d) Thai food, chocolate, casseroles (no cream of anything soup, please), pasta, eggplant, stuff.

The six things I could never do without

Clever word games, chocolate (or sweet sweet love), integrity, compassion, kindness, and a good laugh.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I have described my thought processes as coalescing amoeba-like blobs kaleidascopically merging and separating in a vaguely venn-diagramish way. They are not verbal (words are for communication with the outside word), soundlike, or visual. My native thought process is not easily accessible to language, which makes it hard for me to explain what I'm thinking, or understand it in a verbally articulate way. Of course, mostly I'm thinking about bunnies. fooled you!

On a typical Friday night I am

hanging out with friends, playing games (cricket cricket, 1000 blank white cards, boggle), laughing our asses off... or reading or gardening or seeing a movie...

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I am mostly bilaterally symetrical.

You should message me if

Are you a normal-to-dorky guy, with breathtaking flashes of charm and wit? Who thinks my pictures (or my profile details) are super cute (or engaging)!

and/or if you kinda want to. :)
