To start off, I'm deathly allergic to cats. If you love cats or have cats, we're probably not a good match. Well, unless you think "cat dander" should be added as a murder weapon in the next version of "Clue." I guess we'd still be a bad match, but I'd definitely respect you for thinking outside the box.

I'm a very strong Christian. I was raised Catholic and recommitted my life to Christ in my early 20's. My closest and lifelong friend is an Anglican minister, and most of our interactions and conversations center around the Lord, scripture and Christian apologetics. My beliefs/theology are very conservative with respect to Biblical authority, the source of salvation being grace through faith, etc. I watch and listen to a number of sermons/bible studies, read the Bible (or listen to my audio version) and spend quiet time in prayer. I'm actually looking for a new church, so please feel free to offer suggestions!

In closing, I'm very light-hearted, caring and affectionate. I'm looking to date a woman who is also a strong Christian and lives with the Lord in her heart. It also wouldn't hurt if she was independently wealthy and/or makes killer Rice Krispy Treats*.

*Not trying to be sexist here. I'll bake some brownies and we can conduct Krispy-for-Brownie trade talks.

Right now, I'm taking care of my nephew part-time and looking for a new full-time job.

Making terrible puns. Playing guitar. Singing... mostly in the shower. Dropping random movie quotes. Cheering people up when they're sad.

Books: I read. A lot. I try to mix non-fiction and serious literary works in with my "fun" reading. If you use goodreads.com, you can check out my profile under clarkie125.

Nonfiction - I love Francis Chan's "Crazy Love" and anything by John Ortberg or R.C. Sproul. I've been studying Christian apologetics for the last couple of years, and I highly recommend "Tactics: A Game Plan for Discussing Your Christian Convictions" by Greg Koukl.

Fiction - Kurt Vonnegut, Stephen King, and George R.R. Martin (write FASTER, old man!). I've been reading a lot of "zombie fiction" lately by authors like Todd "T.W." Brown and Mira Grant. Don't judge me... lol. I also highly recommend Rob Kroese, an independent author/satirist. Brilliant and hilarious stuff.

Movies: The Shawshank Redemption, Almost Famous, The Quiet Man, The Big Lebowski, High Fidelity, Shaun of the Dead

Shows: The Big Bang Theory, The Walking Dead, A Game of Thrones, Sherlock, Elementary, Downton Abbey

Music: My parents raised me on Motown and classic rock. My favorite band of all time is Pink Floyd. I also love Eric Clapton, The Temptations, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Pearl Jam. I let my 6 year-old nephew control the radio when we hang out, so I'm hooked on pop music. Sad, right? Katy Perry's music is way too catchy. I also love the Lumineers, Fun and Mumford and Sons.

Food: Not too picky.

Either hanging out with my friends or my nephew/godson. I love that little guy. I also like to send quiet nights at home reading or catching up on my TV shows.
