I grew up in an Italian American household in a series of suburban states. I went to college in Wisconsin, discovered that being gay was awesome, and moved to SF as soon as could.

I've lived here for 11 years -- longer than anywhere else -- and it's definitely home. I worked in the tech industry, went to grad school, and explored many social scenes here in SF. I still march to the beat of my own drum and I'm grateful to be in place where that is eminently possible.

I'm a fun-loving and open-minded guy looking for new friends, dates, or lovers, and perhaps something more.

I work at a large design firm where I lead corporate communications. I've been interested in science and nature since I was a little kid. It's mostly self-taught, and I am always striving to learn more.

I love the outdoors, and try to go hiking and camping as much as possible. I also enjoy exploring the city with friends, hanging out at the local farmer's market, coffee shops, bookstores, the park, and the beach. I never seem to get tired of living here!

I'm not crazy about bars but I like to go out drinking and/or dancing from time to time. My favorite places to go out are the Stud, the Eagle, and El Rio.

At home I get into periodic cooking spells, and I like to throw a couple good backyard BBQs every year. I love quiet movie nights at home and especially enjoy sharing them with someone else.

It's fun chatting with all you sexy guys on OK Cupid, and I hope that we will find the courage to take this thing analog and actually meet up in the flesh once in a while. ;)

When I think about what has served me really well in life, the following come to mind: I'm a careful listener, a good translator, and a loyal friend.

It's hard to pick favorites -- however I would rate Haruki Murakami, Flannery O'Connor, Blade Runner, Amadeus, Eurythmics, and pizza as touchstones.
