I have been on here for more than two years and this "summary" was too verbose. Even I get bored reading it. This is the third edition.

I am a native Virginian, originally from the SW mountains. I've lived in the Richmond area about half my life.

I'm an INTJ Aquarius. That makes me a Scientific Philosopher, or a Crackpot, or just a Nerd depending on your definition. I have an IQ of about 142. Coincidentally, $1.42 will get you a medium coffee at Wawa. I think that says something. I'm not sure what. ;-] .

I'm Liberal and liberal (uppercase and lowercase) so, if you aren't (or at least open-minded), we're probably not going to hit it off very well.

I was an Accountant for 15 years and a Computer/Network Engineer for 20+ years. Now I'm trying my hand at Freelance Writing (that's what I call it, anyway).

I'm not looking for a wife, but I would like to find a good friend and a great lover. Could you be her? I seek someone who needs no one but would share herself with a kindred spirit; who can be dignified to suit the situation and her muse, or be as lusty and unrestrained as her will permits when she's alone with her lover. I don't need "Arm Candy"; I'm no "Sugar Daddy." Height / weight proportionate covers a lot of territory. Age is just a number. Ethnicity is just a color or location of birth. Intelligence, personality and desire are important.

Pretending to have a job.

patience, teaching, listening and fixing things. My Mother gave me patience. Helping others learn is a natural joy. Being married taught me to listen Being a father taught me to fix things. It's a process.

I've been told that, to some, I seem aloof at first. I'm not, really. I'm just a little bit shy. I'm like puppies in that respect - at first they're a little reluctant, then they won't stop licking your face...... I don't think that came out right.

Writers I have enjoyed include Leon Uris, Kurt Vonnegut, Ursula K LeGuin, JRR Tolkein, Isaac Assimov, Michael Crichton and my favorite, Robert Heinlein. Too many others to list.

As far as music goes, I can enjoy almost everything except Gangsta' RAP, or anything vulgar or degrading. My favorites are '50's-'60's Jazz, '70's-'80's Rock, and Classical - particularly Mozart, Sebelius, Rimsky-Korsakov and Ravel.

For movies, I like a good rom-com (what?): I loved "When Harry Met Sally", "You've Got Mail" and "The Ugly Truth". Of course, I enjoy action movies: anything with Harrison Ford, Christian Bale, Angelina Jolie, etc. Any of the Marvel Comics Superhero adaptations will do fine. I thought "Lord of The Rings" trilogy was phenomenal, of course. I love many "old" classics, some of which I have in my collection - "Casablanca", "Dr. Zhivago", "2001" and a few others.

Food! Have you heard the phrase "I'll eat anything that doesn't eat me first"? Have you ever seen "Bizarre Foods" with Andrew Zimmern? It's one of my favorite TV programs. Are you getting the idea that I love food, all food? Fortunately (or unfortunately), it all loves me, too. Someone called this an "opportunivore". I like that word. NOTE: This does not mean I'm an uncontrollable pig. I'm very careful about my weight and try to make healthy choices.

Guess the reference in my user ID and win a prize. Hint: it's not related to food or movies. Don't cheat and Google it - anyone can do that ;o).

Water, food, air, shelter, warmth and companionship. Everything else is just bells, whistles and "bling".

A lot of people may say that's trite, but I grew up pretty self-sufficient, playing in the mountains in SW Va. You learn to "travel light", if the need arises.

I would have added "sex" or "intimacy", but that would make seven, and a lot of people view those as optional. I view them as part of companionship - under the right circumstances, of course.

A. String theory: 9 dimensions or 11?
B. "Membrane" theory: how many universes? Will this one keep expanding, or will it collapse?
C. The real nature of time: or is it even real? Is it slowing down? How would we know?
D. Recipes I'd like to try, especially from other countries.
E. My Children and Grandchildren.

Now The Truth: Sex! (Or physical intimacy, if you prefer) They say men have a sex related thought every 7 seconds. I think it's closer to 5... and at my age... tsk, tsk. It always seems to find its way in there, doesn't it? Forgive me, I'm only a man, but at least I'm honest.
