My self-summary
Slightly bossy, super nurturing, with an inappropriate sense of humor and a killer roasted potato recipe. I will kick your butt at any board game but then I will make you a drink, ask you about your feelings, and tell you how handsome you are.

Portland native with a whole mess of family and friends nearby that are very important to me.

If you can make me laugh until I cry we'll be friends forever.
What I’m doing with my life
Apparently, I'm kicking ass lately. In the last thirty days I have: graduated from nursing school, passed my licensure exam, moved into my own apartment, and gotten the job I wanted. So.... basically, I'm just decorating, dancing around my living room, and trying not to stress about how little I actually know in relationship to my new career.
I’m really good at
- problem-solving
- Dr. Mario
- crafting things
- reading epic novels
- lighting a room
- hosting a party
- making new people feel comfortable, and/or creeping them out
- parallel parking
- making delicious sandwiches
- sending packages in the mail
- shit talking
- Big Buck Hunter
The first things people usually notice about me
Honest answer: I am tall and I have a big ass.

Normal person answer: eyes and smile.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I've always been a reader, and always will be. Lonesome Dove and The Brothers K are the best books I've ever read.

Fun fact: a few years ago I read all 20.5 books in Patrick O'Brien's Master and Commander series. That's right: 20.5 (he died before he finished the 21st).

I love bad movies and good tv. Currently on a strong HBO series kick.

Here's the thing about music... you know those people that are really opinionated about music, and have super strong judgments about what is good and what is not? I am not one of those people. I like pretty much everything. Sure, there are songs that make me yell out, 'ooooooh, this is my JAM!' and turn it up, and there are others that make me change the station. But if I like you, you can convince me to listen to just about anything. Especially if it makes me wanna move.

Also, FOOD IS DELICIOUS. Thai food, take me away.
The six things I could never do without
sunshine and fizzy drinks
my family and friends
large bodies of water
really good books
my brain
human contact/touch
I spend a lot of time thinking about
These days: physiologic processes, chemotherapy, wound care, where I'm meeting the girls for happy hour, what should I put on that wall, what is for dinner, and who can I rope into playing a board game with me? Also - why are scrubs so uncomfortable!? Aren't they made by women for women? I just don't understand.
On a typical Friday night I am
With my friends and/or my siblings - either at a bar or a living room. Activities include, but are not limited to: games, talking, laughing, drinking, movie watching, couch-sitting, shuffleboard playing, karaoke yelling, Big Buck Hunter, and shit-talking.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a weird thing about birds of prey. As in, I LOVE THEM. I freak out at every bald eagle sighting.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 27–45
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, activity partners
You should message me if
You're a liberal lumberjack (who understands that this is much more about my love of alliteration than political tendencies).

You think an ideal evening involves cooking, wine, sci-fi tv and/or Gin Rummy .

You can build me a cabinet.

You were/are a model in the Carhartt catalog.

You can hang with my unfortunate superhero name/power, Moment Slayer.
