I am pensive, considerate, and restless.

My Self-Summary

so i've been in boston onandoff for about ten years now. i've spent some time in china, and nevada, and north carolina, but i keep coming back. i work in i.t. but that's nothing i'm interested in talking about. things i do like to talk about are: movies i like, comics, sex, death, martial arts, food, cocktails, morality. i'm quickly bored by repetition and routine, though there's definitely a part of me that craves them.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

hmm...favorite. i don't know about that, but i'm really digging this book i'm reading now about the u.s. between the war of 1812 and the civil war. some other books i remember liking are 'goodbye chunky rice', 'from hell', 'devil in the white city', 'a confederacy of dunces', and 'the mysteries of pittsburgh'. i dunno, i'm not real big on making lists. oh, and some of those are comics.

the last few movies i saw were 'sunset boulevard', 'gilda', and whatever that new mike leigh movie was. sunset boulevard is one of my favorite movies, and i really dug the first third of gilda. as for the mike leigh movie...i'm still not sure what i think about it.

oh, and i just saw 'all about eve'. i liked the first two thirds, but the end kindof bothered me. i loved bette davis though. and whathisname...the theater critic.

as for food, i've been eating out a lot more lately. i rarely go across the river though:
the bar at chez henri
highland kitchen
hungry mother
the independent
peach farm
koreana
