My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a smart, funny, attractive guy who's trying to make more of an effort to get out there and meet some new people.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I read, play tennis, go for long runs, swim, if I can find a pool, hang out with friends, and spend a lot of time thinking about future possibilities. I realize this description makes me sound dull, but I'm not. I swear! In my professional life, I'm a biostatistician who develops digital health apps.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I have an amazing ability to do math quickly in my head.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
There are many things about me that stand out, not least of which is my blond hair. I'm also pretty tall and I have midnight blue eyes, which are unlike the crystalline ones that most blue-eyed people have. Maybe they're a genetic expression of emotional depth? I'm not really sure. They could just be dirty.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I read a lot of novels. I'm a huge fan of most things written in the 19th century, but, as I've gotten older, I've broadened my horizons. I love Philip Roth and am sad that he's decided to retire officially. I also love Jane Hamilton.

I love most movies. I have a thing for Jane Fonda films from the 70s. I'm definitely on the Meryl Streep bus, and I try to sit through each year's pack of Oscar contenders. I hate myself a little for making the effort and will understand if you do too.

In terms of music, I like everything from top-40 pop to country to classical.

Foodwise, I'll eat anything, but lean towards the healthy end of what's available. I also like red wine--a lot.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Running shoes, expensive sweaters, youtube, my family, sushi, a little chaos--if only to keep life interesting.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How hard it is to communicate all the things that go on inside my head. I definitely have a rich internal life, and sometimes it's vastly more exciting than the external life I lead. I wouldn't say, though, that I've completely turned into Walter Mitty.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At dinner with a friend, maybe headed to the movies, maybe in bed, watching some bad TV show from the 90s.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I went to Harvard. Shudder!
