My self-summary
Honestly, I'm queer, polyamorous, kinky, a teetotaler, nonprocreative, a feminist, introverted, and many others. If that doesn't scare you away, you're probably someone I'd like to know.

I value strong independent women and if you're also a bicycle lover or artistic type, I'm probably swooning already. I love level-headed people who are creative, unconventional, and have a positive outlook on life.

Overall, I really enjoy forming all kinds of relationships (platonic, romantic, frequent, seldom, short lived, or long lasting) and being open to where the connection leads us. That's one of the things that really makes life worth living.

Tim Minchin's "If I Didn't Have You"
What I’m doing with my life
Writing software to change the world for the better, making time for hobbies (piano, singing, crafting), wondering if that kickstarter project I backed will ever ship (probably not), spending time with loved ones, working on things that inspire me, and biking to work. Getting furious when a negligent/reckless car (almost) hits me on my bike.
I’m really good at
I've got a knack for fixing mechanical things and being very handy around the house.

Cuddling. I've actually been voted 'Best Cuddles'; no big deal.

Listening and having deep conversation. I ask serious questions early in a conversation; don't be offended, that's just my way of getting to know the real you. I'm quiet and introverted until I'm not.
The first things people usually notice about me
It'd be far more interesting if you told me. Thanks!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I don't read much fiction. I prefer poetry, essays, and how-to books.

Most Recent Favorite Passage:
“I wanted so badly to lie down next to her on the couch, to wrap my arms around her and sleep. Not fuck, like in those movies. Not even have sex. Just sleep together, in the most innocent sense of the phrase. But I lacked the courage and she had a boyfriend and I was gawky and she was gorgeous and I was hopelessly boring and she was endlessly fascinating. So I walked back to my room and collapsed on the bottom bunk, thinking that if people were rain, I was drizzle and she was a hurricane.”

I'm usually up for watching a documentary but sometimes, like just the other day, I find a documentary on dog fighting and I end up spending the night all teary-eyed.

I'd don't watch much TV these days, but I've liked Arrested Development, The Simpsons, Seinfeld, Modern Family, Futurama, 30 Rock, Archer, The Office, and Louie.

I like experimental music that's a bit chaotic as well. is so beautiful to me.
Also, Sigur Rós, Passion Pit, 60's music, and other Pandora offerings.

My favorite podcasts are the Savage Lovecast, Polyamory Weekly, Freakanomics Radio, Planet Money, Radiolab, and This American Life.

I'm a picky eater, but I'll try anything that doesn't smell bad.

I'm such a cold brew coffee slut. I'll share if you ask nicely.

The six things I could never do without
My piano since I play every day. Lately it's been classical, blues, and video game music.

Alone time. Loud bars, clubs, and or parties make me uncomfortable. So, I'm happier at a quieter get-together, though I am developing a fondness for social dance events.

My bicycle. I love the freedom it gives me. Though, riding through the city turns me into a grumpy cat when cars put me in danger.

A modern linux(Ubuntu) computer with a big monitor and fast internet.

Sex, but that means much more than just intercourse or getting naked for that matter. Non sexual physical intimacy is extremely important too..

okcupid. Yeah, I said it. And, it's true since otherwise it would be much harder for me to meet my kind of people.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
how cute my visitors on okcupid are. Seriously, send me the name of your photographer.

n. the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own—populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness—an epic story that continues invisibly around you like an anthill sprawling deep underground, with elaborate passageways to thousands of other lives that you’ll never know existed, in which you might appear only once, as an extra sipping coffee in the background, as a blur of traffic passing on the highway, as a lighted window at dusk.
On a typical Friday night I am
working on an experimental digital art project and going to sleep way too late.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've had a vasectomy and it's been one of the best decisions I've ever made.

It's a real turn-off when someone answers the question "How frequently do you drink alcohol?" with "Very often"
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 18–99
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, casual sex
You should message me if
...the okcupid algorithms are optimistic about our compatibility and you'd like to share coffee and conversation.

Easy conversation starters that will catch my attention:
- the instrument you play
- what kind of bicycle you ride
- your experiences with polyamory
- what your favorite tumblr is
- your old fashioned name
- if you know what ggg means
- the bike you ride

But, if you don't want to message me, no worries. Here's a couple of my favorite quotes to think about so your visit wasn't a total waste:

We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love. There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us. When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies.
-Martin Luther King, Jr.

Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.
-Albert Einstein

It is absurd to divide people into good and bad. People are either charming or tedious.
-Oscar Wilde
