My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am like having the inverse of Occam's Razor on hand at all times. The most ludicrous explanation will come out of my mouth. So, if deciding what we actually should eat is more important than discussing why we shouldn't go out for Martian cuisine, then you should probably move along. But If you have patience for ridiculousness, I'm a good source of it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Telling stories. Remembering odd little details. My brain is often referred to as an encyclopedia of useless knowledge. I'm a good cook when I bother to put in the effort, and when I don't, I can still whip up something better than edible in 15 minutes. I have a good sense of direction, and can usually come up with an alternative route.
The first things people usually notice about me

I'm polite. I'm all please and thank you, and try not to block the doors on the train. I also strike people as pretty quiet at first.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My favorite authors include: Aimee Bender, Charles Yu, Nick Harkaway, Jennifer Egan, Salman Rushdie, Haruki Murakami. Basically, authors who straddle the line of literature and sci-fi.

The last four movies seen in a theater: Moonrise Kingdom, The Avengers, The Hunger Games, and Cabin in the Woods.

T.V. Community, Parks & Rec, Eureka, Game of Thrones, 30 Rock.

Music: Indie, for want of a better term, and folk mostly. Examples: Wye Oak, Anais Mitchell, Hospitality, Metric, Josh Ritter. Really, the list is huge. If you're the sort of person who seeks out good music, rather than just accepting whatever is playing on the radio, it's probably a close enough match for me.

Food: I like just about anything. Well, not so much beets. And I'm allergic to shellfish. But anything else, I either like or am willing to try. Left to my own devices, I will end up eating burritos. #iamweak
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Loud music in my ears while taking a walk.
Meeting a friend for a beer and talking about anything imaginable.
The hope that I could always do a little bit better.
A kind of crazy thought.
Hash tags.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Killer robots, and giant lizards destroying major metropolises.
I think about music and then sometimes I think about why I think so much about music.
I've found myself reading comic criticism lately, more than I actually read comics, so I spend a lot of time thinking about depictions of women in comics I don't actually read.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
strangely surprised that it's Friday night. I often spend Friday night at home with my roommates. They observe the sabbath, so it's usually a good night in for dinner and conversation. I also go to concerts a couple of times a month, which sometimes means Fridays, but if it's a band I want to see, I'll go out any night, sleep deprivation be damned.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
