I am open, honest, and a little goofy.
My Self-Summary
I am probably a good mix of stable and adventure seeker. I almost
always procrastinate, but always get it done. I love to travel and
miss not being able to do it as much as I used to. I grew up living
overseas and have lived everywhere from the middle east to a farm
community in central Tennessee. All of which I think has shaped who
I am and how I approach life. I guess I would describe myself as a
tad shy- but am no wall flower, am bold at times and can speak my
mind about things I feel passionate about. Most friends would
describe me as loyal and a good listener. At 35, I still get called
"cute" and seemed to be carded on a regular basis. I am most
attracted to someone with a good sense of humor, but beautiful eyes
and a nice butt never hurt. I am a single mom of an amazing child
who makes me smile and laugh on a daily basis. So, long term I am
looking for someone who likes kids and isn't freaked out by the
fact that I have one.
What I’m doing with my life
The most important thing that I am doing right now is raising my
son. He is a constant source of entertainment and inspiration and
also my biggest challenge in life thus far. I pay the bills working
as a medical social worker. There are many aspects of my job that I
love, but money and the demands of the job I must say have led to
some burnout. I love working with people and making an impact, but
not sure how long I will be doing what I am doing. So, this is a
new focus in my life; trying to find my next path and the where,
what and when of that adventure.
I’m really good at
I consider myself a good listener, and a caring and giving partner.
Sometimes my kindness can be taken for weekness, but when pushed I
can assert myself just fine. I seem to make people feel at ease, so
much so that they tell me their life story (whether I want to hear
it or not).
The first things people usually notice about me
Not sure. Never asked anyone. I have gotten a lot of comments about
my eyes and how dark in color they are. Of course there is the
typical comments on the chest. Whatever.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I am embarrassed to say that since my son was born I haven't done a
whole lot of reading (aside from parenting and child related
books). Its horrible I know. And I consider myself a pretty
educated and worldly person. As far as movies- my tastes go from
serious and independent films to the juvenile and absurd. I
recently watched the uncut version of "Grandma's Boy" and loved it.
Music- my tastes are just as varied. I am horrible at describing
music and don't have the money or the energy to keep up with it
these days, but know what I like when I hear it. I guess I like a
little bit of it all: alternative, punk, emo, old country,
alt-country, some rap. Recently have been listening to some old
Wilco, Dinasaur Jr. and Drag the River. As far as food goes- I am
game for any type- just no beef or pork. And nothing beats a really
good margarita.
The six things I could never do without
Laughter, my son, good friends, hope, music and the possibility of
love.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what I want out of life. I also think about how I can raise my son
to be the best person he can be.
On a typical Friday night I am
Friday nights I am usually watching a movie or hanging out with
friends at the house.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I am too private to share with total strangers beyond what I
already have. You'll just have to get to know me.
You should message me if
You are a secure and an intelligent individual. You are spontaneous
and enjoy a good adventure and maybe a little wild, yet responsible
and able to pay your bills. You are real and genuine and so are the
people that you surround yourself with. You should be able to laugh
at yourself and find humor in the little things. Political views
aren't everything, but its helpful if you lean more to the left. It
is most important that you care about others and have the ability
to empathize. Ink is definitely an attraction, but not a
requirement by any means. Oh, and most importantly your are honest.
And please- no one old enough to be my father. I don't have daddy
issues and although age is a state of mind, I see myself with
someone in my own age bracket.
