My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm just your average guy looking to meet someone awesome and someone who makes me want to be better tomorrow than today. I love travel and try and learn enough about a lot of things so I can relate to many different types of people.

I'm a sucker for: a great smile, women who can adapt to different situations, women who like to socialize, have a personal style that is all theirs, and women who are pleasant and happy to be around (oh and being a bit of a smart-ass is a definite plus). Intelligence and manners are extremely attractive as is up-front and open communication. That doesn't mean blunt, tactless, or rude, it simply means open and honest. If you aren't "feeling it" then don't waste our time and I promise the same in return.

I'm not where I want to be physically, but I'm working on it. Friends say I should donate my body to science after surviving all the surgeries I've had, so I have to be careful what activities I partake in, but I like to be active.

Supporting my friends in what's important to them is important to me, so I spend a lot of time and effort going to games, volunteering at races, attending fundraisers, etc. I'm a very loyal and supportive person and I take pleasure in seeing those close to me be happy and successful.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work hard and play hard. I work for a defense contractor. Sometimes it can be stressful, but I enjoy it. I also teach college courses in the evenings much of the year. I like to stay busy, but I make sure to make time for what's important to me. Dating is a priority in my life, but I am selective about who I invest time in meeting and pursuing things with.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Business. I'm good at other things too, but I have a really good head for numbers and business. My friends generally turn to me for financial and business advice. They also come to me for travel advice...not because I'm really good at it, but because I've done a fair amount of it.
The first things people usually notice about me

Physically, it would either be my smile or my eyes. Overall, it would depend on the circumstances under which we met. I'm told I have a "strong" personality and I won't deny it. I like to have fun and am definitely a social butterfly, so you might very well notice my outgoing personality 1st if you met me in a social setting.

Where do I start here? I'd actually rather save this type of stuff for a 1st/2nd date. Why put all the answers out there before even meeting? Nothing weird or anything, just wanna make it easy to converse.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) sleep
2) friends and family
3) music
4) laughter
5) mac & cheese (don't judge me)
6) text messaging (what? judging)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
work, life, my friends, and all the other random stuff that floats in and out of my head these days.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
these days I'm usually relaxing at home, but I also like to grab dinner with friends and go to movies, etc. I have a season ticket plan for the Padres, so that will be more common when baseball season is going on.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

You're serious and not into games. I'm not good at cat and mouse so if that's where you are in life then keep moving along. If I have to be a jerk to keep you around, you're not the girl for me. I should also put this out there - I'm not big on talking on the phone, so if this important to you and/or a deal-breaker for you then we probably aren't a good fit. I like texting because I can be at the gym or cooking dinner or doing laundry and still converse.

The girl for me is the girl in her group everyone looks up to and thinks is awesome. Her guy friends have crushes on her because she makes them feel special and important and truly cares about their lives. Her female friends admire her because she is graceful and not catty. My life is really really great, so I'm looking to date someone who compliments the rest of my life and who makes me want to be the best version of myself and earn her love every day. I'm not into drugs (yes - pot is a drug), women who can't handle their booze and/or who NEED a glass of wine every night, and girls who think playing hard to get is attractive. My time is valuable (as is yours) and I expect to see it valued.

I haven't had great experiences with single parents, so while not a "deal-breaker", I might approach dating a parent with cautiousness at 1st. It's hard enough to schedule dates, much less when there is an uncooperative ex in the picture or when they simply don't have time/a flexible schedule.
