My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm easy-going and relaxed, but very active.

I play tennis 3 to 4 times per week for exercise and fun, and eat very healthily although I also have a not infrequent appetite for baked goods. Black and white cookies, for example. So I am very fit (and completely drug free) and clean to boot.

I am a science and gadget guy, as well as an arts and culture junkie. Some people say I'm "normal" - or "well-rounded" - whatever that means. I like books, too. Check out my book blog:

Mostly a jeans and dress shirt guy in the winter, and shorts and t-shirts in the summer; I don't really shop in Barney's, but I like people who do.

Pretty funny -- or maybe mildly entertaining -- and sensitive. I like sex but am not a sexaholic, and have slept in both the top and the bottom bunk. I like having someone to hold onto at night. I'm looking for a person who is loving and intelligent, preferably strong, gentle, and self-aware. I'm pretty even-tempered myself. I want someone who is sharp, tuned in to life (in a different way than I am, hopefully) and whose triumphs I can support and share. Drama OK, but not pathology. Someone who understands that relationships take work.

All that said, I'm here looking for dates (dinner or coffee, share a crossword, anyone?) that might lead to something - for a day, a few weeks or months, or more.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I was a math and physics major who ended up working in book publishing for ten years. Now I work with kids in math and science education, and I do a little writing on the side. I am very patient, calm, and supportive. I make people shine.

Curiosity, courtesy, and a sense of humor are important to me, as well as a desire to continue growing in life, whether it be intellectually, professionally or spiritually (although I hate that overused word and I'm pretty much an atheist.)

I am truly dedicated to learning in all aspects - through experience, sharing with others, and through study. Not sure how good I am at it, though! I try.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
how everyone's brains create an entirely complete and individual universe out of memory, thoughts and physical perceptions - how separate these universes are and yet how much they overlap.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
