My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi, I'm Alex, nice to meet you.
I marvel at how well OkCupid matches people... In my travels I've met some of the coolest people in the world on here. So while I'm not super-preoccupied with finding the love of my life on OkC, I'm quite interested in getting to know new people and sharing stories. Let's see how this works.
Also... I'd like to change my zodiac sign to the Quokka: the little guys fill my heart with joy. Does anyone know how I can accomplish this?
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
At this particular moment I'm working, going to school, and running around San Antonio and its surrounding areas pretending to be a rockstar. Good times all around.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Singing, I sound like a 1,000 songbirds, backed by a full choir of angels =o) By extension, I'm also very good at Karaoke. Some people think that they're the same thing, but i assure you, there are some key differences, mostly in the hips!

Also? Kitchen wizardry.

Even also-er? Ruining people at words with friends.
That's Alex B.999 if you're feeling lucky.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Well... I don't know what the first thing about me people ACTUALLY notice is, but I can tell you the first thing they usually mention. Generally it's either how radiant my smile is, or that I have dimples.

Actually, my smile is so white, that in dire situations, I deploy it like an octopus's ink; blinding potential threats and escaping in the resulting mayhem.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books - The World is Flat, Democracy Matters, The Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy, and Betty Crocker's Big Red Cookbook. I'm reading the collected works of Charles Bukowski right now... good stuff

Movies - I try to keep my movie choices restricted to comedy or kung-fu. I worked at a Hollywood Video all through high school and pretty much have my fill of the other stuff already.

Shows - The Wire, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones and The Simpsons rock my socks.

(C) Music - Mostly I just listen to things I'm interested in playing... Bread, Supertramp, Bill Withers, Postal Service, Coldplay... Sam Cooke, Ella Fitzgerald... Brian Mcknight's new stuff is pretty good too.

(D) Ah, food, I love the stuff! If it weren't for my exceptionally friendly set of genes, I'd probably weigh a ton. I love Korean, Thai, and Greek the most, and everything else comes in tied for a very close second.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
a, e, i, o, u... and sometimes y. nah, just kidding.
There's just very little I could *never* do without, and saying things like air, water, food, is kinda lame.

So, here's six things that I'd rather not go without!

1)Cargo shorts - All the pockets make me feel like Batman or something
2)The Boondocks - Seriously, this is the best show on TV (I realize that The Boondocks has been cancelled, I just haven't found a better '2' yet.)
3)Pico de Gallo - It's delicious and goes with everything.
4) four is a secret
5)Goya mojo - For the same reasons I love pico!
6)xkcd - The best thing on the internet, by far.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What my 100% enemy on OKC must be like. 100% means he's got to be my complete antithesis, right? He's probably some kind of creep who wears shirts opened up to the 5th button with no undershirt, stealing candy from babies and passing gas in crowded elevators.

Seriously though, have you ever attempted to imagine what sort of human being you'd be 100% opposed to in every way? That's heavy! When that's not on my mind, I'm usually splitting time between trying (in vain) to write a song that's better than 'OK' and thinking about what i'm gonna do in the next five minutes.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Being musical somewhere.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Whenever I see somebody whose pictures are all shots they've done of themselves, I assume they're sort of uninteresting. I mean, if you were totally rocking out, somebody else would take take notice and snap a few candids, right?

Also, people who aren't smiling in any of their photos... what's going on with that? Are you really having that bad of a time?

You read my whole profile. If you went through all of that reading you obviously found me mildly interesting. Go ahead, indulge yourself!

Also, I'm a bit of a slow replier. If you don't hear back from me immediately please don't think anything of it.
