I am insouciant, mercurial, and callipygian.

My Self-Summary

Hello hello! By some great accident of fate (or calculation of OKcupid) you've ended up on my page, and it's time for a little bit of self-summarization. I'm inquisitive, ambtious, and slightly juvenile; I feel awful for people who take themselves too seriously... it's a miserable way to live. There's nothing in the world as awesome as learning something new and figuring out how it works. I'm not interested in meeting anybody on here wH0 tALkS LyK d!S. Cool people use complete sentences!

What I’m doing with my life

Now that I'm out of the Air Force there's this little matter of trying to finish up my degree. After that I'll probably spend a little bit of time teaching English overseas and seeing interesting parts of the world. I've been traveling my entire life so far, and would hate to stop now. I've also taken up learning how to do magic, and I think i recently crossed the line between "dude who does a couple tricks" and magician. To be honest, this might be the best hobby ever; it's stupidly fun and sometimes people give me money for it.

I’m really good at

Singing, I sound like a 1,000 songbirds, backed by a full choir of angels =o) By extension, I'm also very good at Karaoke. Some people think that they're the same thing, but i assure you, there are some key differences, mostly in the hips!

The first things people usually notice about me

Well... I don't know what the first thing about me people ACTUALLY notice is, but I can tell that the first thing they usually mention. Generally it's either how radiant my smile is, or that I have dimples.

Actually, my smile is so white, that in dire situations, I employ it in a fashion similar to a flare, or an octopus's ink; blinding potential threats, and escaping in the resulting mayhem.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

(A) Books - The World is Flat, Democracy Matters, The Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy, and Betty Crocker's Big Red Cookbook. I'm reading Choke right now... I think I'm liking it so far.

(B) Movies - Berry Gordy's: The Last Dragon, Rocky, Big Trouble in Little China, Harry and the Hendersons, Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai, Karate Kid (hence my okcupid name), Talladega Nights, Brain Candy, and The Transformers: The Movie.

(C) Music - I'm kind of a rap snob, I listen to a lot of The Roots, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Jean Grae, Jedi Mind Tricks. I also listen to a little bit of rock, mostly Muse, Bush, and stuff like that. I also dig pretty hard on old soul, blues and jazz. You know, that black classical music, like Nina Simone, Sam Cooke, Lou Rawls, Curtis Mayfield, Stevie Wonder, and the like.

(D) Ah, food, I love the stuff! If it weren't for my very friendly set of genes, I'd probably weigh a ton. I love Korean, Thai, and Greek the most, and everything else comes in tied for a very close second.

The six things I could never do without

a, e, i, o, u... and sometimes y. nah, just kidding.
There's just very little I could totally do without, and saying things like air, water, food, are kinda played out.

So, here's six things that I'd rather not go without!

1)Sports Guy podcasts - I like sports, I'm a guy, he speaks my language.
2)The History Channel - infotainment!
3)My Wii - What can I say? I'm hooked.
4)Magic stores! - They're full of such neat stuff, check your local one out.
5)Goya mojo - The stuff makes everything tasty!
6)xkcd - The best thing on the internet, by far.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

What my 100% enemy on OKC must be like. 100% means he's got to be my complete antithesis, right? He's probably some kind of super-villain; wearing tights, stealing candy from babies, and passing gas in crowded elevators. Seriously though, have you ever thought of what human being you'd be 100% opposed to in every way? That's heavy! When that's not on my mind, I'm usually splitting time between contemplating world peace or something funny.

On a typical Friday night I am

Singing karaoke, or doing magic somewhere for fun and profit.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Although sometimes I come across as cocky, honestly that's not the case, I just deeply enjoy being me.
