My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm Cody. I'm 24 years old.

I live in Charlotte, in an apartment with a couple of roommates. I have a job and own my own car, so I'm pretty self-sufficient. I pay the bills working nights at Charlotte-Douglas International.

In my spare time, I love hanging out with friends, whenever I get the chance. I'm a gamer too. I play just about anything ranging from sports games to FPS and RPG. Madden, Call of Duty, Skyrim, and everything in between. I love listening to music. I also play guitar religiously. I've been playing for seven years and it's a big part of my life. It's not just a hobby for me, it's a passion and a creative outlet.

The fastest way to strike up a conversation with me is to talk about music.

I'm also a massive football fan. Born and bred a Denver Broncos fan. Established 1990. I'm a huge fan of pro football, so football season is my favorite time of the year. Of course I'm also a Panthers fan, since they're my hometown team.

I have some really great friends and I hang out with them any chance I get. Bowling, shooting pool, going to a bar for a drink or two, or even just riding around town blasting music and shooting the breeze are all things I enjoy.

My ideal girl would be one just like me. Someone I could take to a metal show and they could actually enjoy themselves and the music. Someone who doesn't mind hanging out at home just watching TV or a movie for a few hours.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now I'm working nights at Charlotte-Douglas International to keep the bills paid. More specifically, I fuel planes at CLT. It's fairly straightforward work and it keeps a roof over my head.

I spend my free time hanging out with friends, catching up on some of my favorite shows, playing a little guitar, or gaming.

Every so often I get the chance to go to a show and catch a favorite band play. Definitely one of my favorite ways to spend a night off.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Not really sure how to say what I'm "really good at."

I will say that I'm a fast learner. Show me something once or twice, let me have a go at it, and chances are I'll pick it up soon after.

Like I said, I've been playing guitar for almost 8 years now, and I wouldn't say I'm "really good," but I spend a lot of time honing my craft.

I've been told I'm a pretty funny guy. My mixture of sarcasm and dry humor seem to keep a lot of people laughing.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Not sure, really. It's never been pointed out to me, I guess. I don't exactly see myself as someone who would stand out in a crowd. I'm just your average t-shirt and jeans kinda guy. I'm always wearing band tees, unless I'm dressed for a special occasion, so maybe that's what people notice?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: The only books I've ever been REALLY into are the Harry Potter books. I've read them all multiple times, and I guess I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to them. I've been known to drop knowledge and correct people about them from time to time.

The Walking Dead is my number one show, hands down. I also recently binge-watched all four seasons of Game of Thrones, so there's that. How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Friends, Big Brother, just a few of my favorite TV shows.

Music is pretty much my life. I'm a huge metalhead, but I listen to a little of everything else as well, including punk, rap, alternative, and some pop music. I've been known to dabble in EDM as well. Some of my favorite bands include:

A Day To Remember, All That Remains, The Amity Affliction, As I Lay Dying, Asking Alexandria, August Burns Red, Avenged Sevenfold, Beartooth, Blessthefall, Blink-182, Breaking Benjamin, Bring Me The Horizon, Bullet For My Valentine, Chevelle, Darkest Hour, Deadmau5, The Devil Wears Prada, Emmure, From First to Last, Issues, Linkin Park, Memphis May Fire, Of Mice & Men, Parkway Drive, Periphery, Silverstein, The Story So Far, Three Days Grace, Woe Is Me, and honestly many more.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Music, Friends, Family, Guitar, a job, and a car.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Probably too much to list here. My mind is always on something or another. Music stays on my mind a lot of the time. Keeping life in check is another thing I think a lot about.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I work nights, so Friday is no different. Afterwards though I'm usually out and about grabbing a beer and reflecting on the week with good friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm agnostic. It seems to draw a lot of eyebrows when I say that. I'm not an atheist. However at the same time, my everyday life doesn't revolve around religion. I just live. Karma and morals are basically what drive how I act, and I like to think they make me a good person.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you consider a heavy metal concert a better date than a suit-and-tie four star restaurant. If you don't mind flirting with disaster more often than most people would like. If you'd rather sit around a bonfire and goof off for six or seven hours than go out shopping with the girls (not that I mind that.) Just looking for a down to earth girl who doesn't buy in to all the BS that's spreading through the world today.
