I am going to fill, this in later, and be done with it.

My Self-Summary

Partially rendered male in the twilight of their quarter-life looking for dates and interesting people.

I studied Fine Arts at Auckland and through natural tinkering and aimless wandering became a programmer as well. Art is still a large part of my life, and it would be nice to be in touch with people who enjoy creating (could be sewing, watching film ..).

I write programs in Ruby, a language from Japan that started out as an obscure niche language only used by curious types which explains how I got hold of it.

I like talking openly with people. I have a lot a good female friends, so having friendly relations with women feels pretty natural to me. I'd like to have that sense of friendship with someone that I cared about a lot though, and someone whose values and ideas about life overlapped mine, and who's heading in a similar direction where we can make something really good happen.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

German film .. Michael Haneke, Fatih Akin. Either hard-hitting grim film or cute fantastical film like Jean Pierre Jeunet. Film's one of my passions but I keep it strictly amateur (meaning I never remember titles or directors, and lose consciousness when people talk about film for a long time).

I like patronising experimental music events in Auckland. Not all of it can be described as musical, but in my mind few things can beat an aural assault by some strange instrumentalist and a laptop.
