I am clever, resourceful, and easygoing.
My Self-Summary
I have been living in the Phoenix area for over four years now. I
enjoy the winters, but hate the summers. It still has more better
days than Seattle.
I tend to spend my free time during the week seeing
movies, listening to
music and reading
books. I don't
really care for TV. The TV shows I do watch have come out on DVD or
Netflix.
For my vacations I have traveled this year to
Seattle,
Japan and
Maui. I look forward to
traveling again next year when I
get more vacation time.
I really enjoy my job and love solving the various problems at
work. I work with computers all day so I tend to say a lot about
them. I enjoy the art of
conversation and always enjoy a
chat over
coffee or
drinks.
What I’m doing with my life
I am working as an engineer at a major semiconductor company.
My job in a nutshell, is I program an expensive machine called a
tester, to in a few seconds determine if a chip is good or not so
we can sell it for roughly double what it cost to make.
I enjoy my work because I'm able to continually learn more about
technology. I do it because I enjoy the challenge. The pay is a
spill over benefit.
I’m really good at
Planning things out. I generally think things through. In a group
I'm usually the one asking what's next, what's important, and
thinking about how to make things happen.
The first things people usually notice about me
I am pretty tall (6' 4"). This makes me a bit clumsy around low
hanging chandeliers.
I'm fairly smart and take an interest in finding out more about
different professions or hobbies.
I'm a bit blunt when talking to people. I generally say what I
think or see. If you have celery in your teeth, don't be surprised
when I tell you.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: I read a fair number of technical books. For pleasure
reading I enjoy
science fiction and adventure
novels.
Music: My music taste runs from
alternative and
rock to
indie,
gothic, and
trance.
Movies: I watch a lot of movies. It's hard to describe my
preferences they are all over the place.
TV Shots: I watch
Big Bang Theory, SNL, and some
Anime shows like
Ghost in the Shell and Cowboy Bebop.
The six things I could never do without
1. Civilization. Air Conditioning, Grocery Stores, enough
said.
2. Computers. Without them I wouldn't have a job.
3. Music. The world would seem so silent.
4. Modern transportation. Walking from Seattle to Phoenix would
suck.
5. Sunglasses. It's way too bright in here.
6. Questions that want six answers, but I can only come up with
five.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What's next? Should I stay in Phoenix or move elsewhere? Should I
go to grad school? Did I remember to tie my shoes? *Trip* No.
On a typical Friday night I am
Improvising something to do, McGuyver style. You wouldn't believe
what I can do with duct tape and a match head.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I have a Figment the dragon stuffed toy sitting on my desk. The
character comes from the Journey to the Imagination ride at Epcot
in Disney World. They had the bright idea of redoing it and it
isn't the same. The stuffed toy sits there to remind me to be
creative.
You should message me if
If you enjoy the art of conversation. If you have a generally
positive perspective on life. If you are more intelligent than the
average Miss America candidate. (One year a candidate was talking
about books she wrote to help the illiterate.)
