My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I think that one of my major character traits is my thirst for knowledge. I'm a voracious reader, in a wide variety of subjects: math, science, history, politics, philosophy, law, etc. My username is reference to my appetite for ideas: I'm continually seeking out different ways of looking at the world and trying to understand them, even if I don't agree with them. I'm a big fan of science fiction, because at its best, that genre is about stepping outside of all the assumptions and things taken for granted and imagining a radically different world; it's about examining what's truly real about the world, and what is simply particular to the circumstances that we find ourselves in. Seeing the world clearly and without intellectual blinders is very important to me, and if I think that someone is presenting arguments that are flawed, I will point that out, even if I agree with their position. I am a big fan of math, because I think that it is the purest expression of truth; it's not just arithmetic, it's the formalization of knowledge in general.

I also think of myself as intelligent and considerate with a strong moral center and a good sense of humor, but then, who doesn't?
