My Self-Summary

some of you are totally not stalking me at all. this is entirely unacceptable. i did not sign on to this thing so that my profile could just sit here and not be stalked. anyway, to those of you who are now reading this, good. and to those of you who haven't checked this out or messaged me in let's say, more than two days, three? well i just don't know what to say to you. but it's wrong. you're wrong. and you know it. i seriously need a croissant.

Io lascerò indrieto el ragionare delle repubbliche, perché altra volta ne ragionai a lungo. Volterommi solo al principato, et andrò tessendo li orditi soprascritti, e disputerò come questi principati si possino governare e mantenere.

What I’m doing with my life

oh wow. well. working? trying to make art? trying to make art that works. it's tough. it really is. no matter how hard i try it's never quite finished is it. except some projects. i guess some are finished. but not because they're perfect. but because i've forgotten about them? or ran out of funds? just kidding, my projects do not fall in the category of requiring "funds". anyway, answer is i'm working part-time to support my video/filmmaking and myriad other questionable things i do all in a desperate attempt to matter. or something like that. for proof (of insanity) visit:

I’m really good at

different stuff. you want the truth? you really want the truth? i'll tell you what i'm really good at. i'm really good at catching objects that have fallen off some table (usually knocked off by me). i can just snatch them out of the air quickly before they hit the ground and break. that's what i'm good at. not sure how much that's gotten me in life. but it asked.

The first things people usually notice about me

bad posture (see pics). my parents and ?ex say too thin. bah. i say not thin enough. oh pale too! i'm sooo f'in pale. it's like. well never mind. let's just say i'm pale as s___. what else. not much. i try to not stand out. all part of my master plan of not standing out. yes. it's all on purpose.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

it has recently been brough to my attn. that the below makes me sound like a major snob. which i totally am. but damn. i don't want to sound THAT snobby. okay. so take this answer w/ a grain of salt? meaning if you don't give a shit about books or reading at all but you still think i look good (and more importantly, you look good), then message away. i am a guy (still). so i'm sure some kind of arrangement can be reached. for the rest of you (good looking, not so good looking, wrong sex, my mom (hi mom), and anyone else reading this), here are the goods:

favourite authors include but not limited to: barthelme, borges, calvino, nabokov, proust, t.s. eliot, frost, twain, homer, so many others. wow. i could never answer such a stupid question. what a great question. kliban, gorey, dr seuss, von arnim (did i just make that up?), oh shit kafka, chuang tzu, confucius, lu hsun (bet you didn't see that comin'). others. are you kidding?

movies: see above but even moreso. i like everything in criterion collection (with a few notable exceptions, which you don't need to point out to me), kino, new yorker films releases (l'atalante, for example), and some other stuff. i like great films. i have no interest in mediocre films. ok ok, unless i REALLY don't feel like reading subtitles. cuz i'm like at home and want to eat or not pay much attention. and/or i REALLY just wanna see stuff blown, chopped or thrown up and yes that does happen sometimes. dammit. but otherwise it's STRICTLY classics for me. tarkovsky, bresson, ozu, leone, renoir, kurosawa, herzog, fassbinder, clouzot, kubrick, bergman, welles. you get the point.

music: again. impossibe to sum up. examples? calypso, ska, beethoven, bach, bowie, stereo total, joy division, vitalic, daft punk, blur, pulp, holly golightly, april march, daniel johnston, nirvana, pinback, animal collective, fiery furnaces, deerhoof, blonde redhead, the animals, hendrix (duh), and a BUNCH of stuff i could list on forever. professor longhair, clifton chenier oh, all stuff from RHINO (R.I.P.), such as the D.I.Y. punk series. wreckless eric, blondie, wire, etc.

comedians are important: lenny bruce, richard pryor, woody allen, mitch hedberg, chris rock, dave chappelle, rowan atkinson, dylan moran, steve martin, john belushi

food: whatever. it's good. i eat it. no, i love great food. but does anyone on here give a s___ what kind of food i eat?

The six things I could never do without

silly questions (6). oh, wait. british television. is the one thing i could not do without. not now. not ever. black books, dylan moran, steve coogan, fawlty towers, absolutely fabulous, are you being served?, jeeves and wooster, is that more than 6?

I spend a lot of time thinking about

On a typical Friday night I am

i WAS. i repeat WAS watching The Catherine Tate Show on BBC America until they yanked it and replaced it with some other total crap. so huh. well then. i don't know. but i'm not doing that anymore. puh. now i suppose i'll go to bars and get drunk and go home with someone i don't even know and wake up dead and it's not even a movie. yes. thanks very much BBC. assholes.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

ok. i will admit that i ttly thought u had to answer all these things or else u couldn't save your profile. but then someone told me u can just leave it blank and the question just won't show up at all. i wish i had done that here.

You should message me if

you want to? i don't know. you have fingers?
