My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
FYI - Cupid doesn't let us return messages to those who don't have profiles, we can read yours but there's no profile to respond to. This seems to be happening a lot so I thought I would give you gentlemen a heads up.

I'm definitely more of a country girl than a city lady. I love being awed by nature. There's something really romantic about sitting under the stars with someone special, next to a fire, whether in the snow or on the beach or by a fire-pit.

I have one grown daughter, who's independent and beautiful.

I'm eclectic in most all things. It lets me enjoy nearly anything when the company is good. Well maybe not smokey bars with blaring music.

I really loved traveling to Mediterranean and Arizona. It would be great to see more of the world though New England has a beauty all it's own, that I really enjoy.

I'm long ago divorced and have done the introspective deep analysis of my baggage and have discarded it, well maybe there's just a small carry-on left.

I'm looking to find someone to spend the rest of my life with, not just a few great nights. So please be ready to explore, share and be willing to take the time to get to know us.

Thank you
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Enjoying families and friends. Still looking for that someone. Doing that karma, paying forward thing.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking, DIY projects, being frugal, helping out. I'm good at most everything I put my hands to, but never enough time or perseverance to be excellent at one particular thing. I'm considered very creative. I like being useful.
The first things people usually notice about me

My eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Again, eclectic in most things so don't really care for the words "favorite...per se", but my "especially fond of at the moment" (which will change as time passes)
Books - I like the Classics, like Dickens, Austen, Bronte, Doyle, mysteries by Carr, read the Harry Potter series, (I love feeling like a kid).
Movie - Clue, The House of Long Shadows, but I like most all kinds, westerns, adventures, B/W, mysteries, Classic Romance, Gothic, Sci-fi, exception-gut slasher movies I just can't help but laugh when they go to check on that noise in the cellar. Don't forget to put on your high heels, and take the flashlight with the bad batteries, you won't need it long - LOL.
Music - Celtic to Country to Modern Rock and most in between I'm not real fond of rap, or punk but can't say I haven't enjoyed a song or two from them.
Food - I like trying new kinds, plus all the regulars, Chinese, Italian, Mexican, BBQ, etc. I like to cook for a group of friends or family. Good Food, Good Friends, Good Love and Good Luck to us all.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Let's assume it's the things I really, really, really don't want to live without?
The happiness that comes from
close friends
a great cut of beef
a cool breeze on a hot summer night or a warm fire as the temp drops
and someone to share it all with.
If it'"can't" live w/o then it's the basics air, water, shelter, food, clothing, survival manual written long hand on toilet paper
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where's the best place for me to be in the scheme of things, if there really is someone for everyone, and other deep philosophical questions.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Talking with friends, working on a project, doing the movies, book, PC thing. Preparing for the weekend.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
To total strangers? I'm really open when I meet people, maybe too open. So maybe it's that I'm more adventurous and fun when I'm with someone than just by myself.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If our percentages fall in the high range for our match/friend and low on enemy. You're searching for someone who'll treat you well and appreciate what you do for her, someone who enjoys nature and a little roughing it, as well as a day of art and music, someone who is looking to be your partner, lover, good friend and not your mother. And if you're an honorable man, capable enough to explore the countryside, seaside, a fair or marketplace then who knows we could be a cupid match?
