I'm laid back and try to enjoy the little things in life. I'm a bit of a workaholic but definitely try to make time for the things that I enjoy. I love being outside as much as I can whether it be going for a walk around the neighborhood, hiking around the river, camping or spending time at the cabin in the summer. I also really enjoy going out to see live music of all sorts, although I do have my favorite venues and genres.

I am kind hearted, open minded, and easy going

Wow... isn't that what all of us often spend time pondering? Well, I'm a college graduate who after a few years in the service industry has gotten a job in my field which is great. I'm working towards building experience in my field and putting things together to go back to graduate school in the fall.

Procrastinating! This is something that I struggle with, but at the end of the day I always manage to get everything accomplished, I think I work a bit better under pressure which is why I tend to put things off. I'm also very good at parallel parking, consistently bowling under 100, cribbage, and injuring myself in the most ridiculous of ways.

I would have to say that it really depends on the situation and even then I'm not sure, I think you'd have to ask them, since they are the ones noticing right. I've been told I have a great smile and kind eyes so perhaps that is the first impression that I give people, although I think my shyness initially is noticed as well.

Favorite books: Anything by Tom Robbins, Carl Hiaasen, Chuck Palahniuk, Cormac McCarthy, David Sedaris, Jeannette Walls, some of my favorite titles, Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas, Poisonwood Bible, Glass Castle, When I am Engulfed in Flames, The Road.

Movies: I Heart Huckabees, Sunshine Cleaning, Children of Men, American History X, Batman Begins among others. . .

Music: love it, love it all. There is something in every genre that I really get into but if I have to pick a few favorites, Desmond Dekker, Johnny Cash, Brother Ali, Modest Mouse

1. My dogs, they're great and an awesome comic relief on a bad day
2. My family, as nontraditional as they are they're my rock
3. My friends, they put things in perspective and keep me grounded
4. Spring as much as I hate winter there is nothing more hopeful than springtime, by far my favorite time of year, couldn't do without the change of seasons.
5. The enlivening energy of a good conversation.
6. A tomato fresh off the vine from my garden.

Truly any of these things I could live without but I would certainly miss them if they were not around.

Lately, about graduate school. Trying to get all of my ducks in a row and keep things moving. Generally, I spend a lot of time thinking about traveling. I've done a fair amount but there is so much more that I want to see and experience so I think a lot about places that I'd like to go.

I don't really have a typical Friday night, I could be out at a show, up at the cabin, laying low watching a movie, enjoying the company of friends in any number of places.

I'm pretty open and honest so there is a lot that I would admit, just not sure what people would really want to know.

You connect with any of the things that I've written, are down to earth, intelligent, funny, and looking for someone in your life because you want to enjoy experiences with them instead of looking for someone to make you feel complete. I think often people look to relationships to make them feel like a whole, happy person but I think each partner should come to the table with that and in the end it makes for a much happier, healthier relationship. Sorry, a bit of a tangent but I think its an important thing to note.
