Originally from South Jersey, moved to Philadelphia about 2 years ago. I really missed living in the city after moving home from college in Boston. Grew up a little bit of a tomboy loving sports but rounded myself out when I got into musical theater and developed my love of cooking.

Just starting a new career as a high school teacher this coming school year. Just left the construction company I was working with for several years as a marketing assistant and office manager.

Having grown up in South Jersey, I am excited to have the majority of my summer off to get some real shore time. Maybe I'll even get back into surfing ;) In addition to my 9-5 jobs I also moonlight as a dance teacher and writer for a food website. I would love to one day run a coffee shop specializing in gluttonous desserts, but right now that amounts to living vicariously through my writing and cooking up a storm at home.

My eyes because I always meet people's looks and pay attention to whomever is speaking to me. Or, my laugh. It's never far behind.

Books: love getting a new cookbook, Pride & Prejudice, Sloppy Firsts, Love by the Glass, Little Women, The Importance of Being Earnest, Bossypants, The Stranger

Movies: White Christmas, Elf, Resevoir Dogs, Snatch, Only You, My Cousin Vinny, His Girl Friday, Gilda, Pulp Fiction, The Quiet Man

Shows: Top Chef, Happy Endings, Castle, Dexter, The Walking Dead, Iron Chef, Blue Bloods, anything on Investigation Discovery

Music: such a wide variety! When I'm cooking though I usually love to listen to old crooners like Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra or something that fits with whatever cuisine I'm cooking.

Family, my friends (like family), my glasses/contacts (can't see for anything without 'em!), good food, dancing and singing.

How to make myself better either professionally or personally.
Whether or not my apartment is zombie-proof (I get freaked out while watching The Walking Dead pretty easily).

Having a drink with friends or at a show rehearsal or performance.

Friends and family are an important part of my life and I appreciate someone who can see the value in that. I'm looking for a guy who enjoys stuff I love like cooking (or eating what I cook!), catching a Phils game, checking out new restaurants, and travel but also has his own interests and isn't afraid to show me his idea of grabbing life by the baseballs.
