My self-summary
My life is crazy and fun, manic, unique, colorful, exposed, quiet, calm and dark, warm and safe, cyclical, moving, open.
What I’m doing with my life
I graduated with a degree in Spanish a few years ago and I've used this to travel and speak to people all through Central America.
Biking is lovely, and I have recently gotten into jogging. Self medicating with booze and drugs once in a while can be nice.
I like to garden, and seem to do well growing radishes and pumpkins. I've had bad luck with cabbage.
I'm really into natural medicine, I'll be attending the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in the fall.

I make music with friends and work on my zine. I write letters to people sometimes and like going on really long walks.
I’m really good at
Making fermented foods, cutting up fabric and sewing it back together, embroidery, being a cat whisperer, tarot, zines, karaoke, complaining. I'm a good cook. I'm very nurturing.
The first things people usually notice about me
Whatever sweater I am wearing. My dazzling wit and hypnotic charm. Booty shorts. I'm a bit shy at first meeting.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Some authors I like include: Ursula K. LeGuin, Tom Robbins, John Robbins, Micheal Pollan, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Isabel Allende, Emma Goldman, Robert Anton Wilson, Jack Kerouac, etc., etc.
Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler is beautiful. I'm reading some bell hooks currently.
Wild Fermentation is a lovely book. I like graphic novels, comics, and zines.

For movies I like Persepolis, Lost Boys, Valley Girl, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Secretary, Psycho, Capote, Ghost World, Zombi, Halloween, Creep Show. Blue Valentine was depressing and awful, but it stayed in my head for a long time after watching it, I guess I found it pretty relatable.

Nova is awesome. TNG is also awesome. X Files, awesome too.

I could be classified as "freegan," although I don't like this term as it seems so cutesy. I love Sriracha, sushi, soup and sandwiches.

Musically, I like Crystal Castles, Grimes, the Reatards, Crystal Stilts, The Vaselines, Pram, the Oblivians, The Castanets, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Ariel Pink, Ela Orleans, etc. I think Nina Simone is my soul guide.
The six things I could never do without
my comfy bed
coffee
the bins/freeboxes/free food porches/living off the excess(it is really fun, I kinda dig frugality)
garlic
lovely friends
bright colors
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I should be doing with myself now and in the near future, the nature of humanity, food, translating phrases and song lyrics into spanish, how to express any creativity I may have, how I wish I was camping, my satisfaction/dissatisfaction with the world around me.
On a typical Friday night I am
If I'm not working, I'm going to a party, show or queer dance night, getting crunked, hanging out with friends, watching a movie/reading or sewing/artsy stuff. Or going to sleep early.

Some traits I value in friends and lovers:
Kindness, generosity, compassion, positivity, sex positivity, being lefty-left-leftist, having a general hatred of capitalism, creativity, talent.
