My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Where to begin? First off, I'm from Southern California, so I say "dude" and "like" a lot. I grew up in the most suburban place possible (just like in Weeds) and knew that the world offered much more to offer than endless rows of cookie-cutter houses.

So after turning 18, I set off to explore other parts of the US... Well... warmer parts of the US. I sauntered down South to North Carolina for University, which wasn't far enough for me.

Which is why I moved to London. I'm a lifelong anglophile and the UK is a fantastic springboard for other countries that are on my to-do list. But after living there for 3 years, the cold weather and endless queues got the better of me, so I decided to move back to the States.

So now I'm back trying to figure out where I want to spend the next few years of my life. My first stop is in Southern California, so hit me up if you want to meet and hear some fun stories.

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Helping make the world a better place with finance... No really, it's true, but not in a Lloyd Blankfein way.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Squaring circles, breaking eggs for omelettes, letting my imagination run away with me, spoiling my appetite and knowing a little bit about a lot of things... Just enough to bluff my way through lots of dinner party conversations.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes and jawline... and how my constant laughter reveals my pearly whites. Behind the jawline, people are convinced that my accent is Canadian.

Books: Big fan of books. It all started with Harry Potter and a Rand McNalley world atlas from 1989 (with detailed pages on the USSR to boot). Nowadays, I read a lot of contemporary Fiction (Eugenides, David Foster Wallace, Sedaris). Also like the occasional pop-science book on psychology or physics.

Movies: I enjoy anything by the Coen Brothers or Wes Anderson. Always up for seeing new things, since I've seen an embarrassingly low number of films.

Shows: Breaking Bad, Arrested Development, 30 Rock, Parks & Recreation, Archer, QI, I'm also a huge fan of the Simpsons and find the first 10 seasons to be the stuff of legends.

Music: I really like the contemporary music scene. Anyone who thinks the best music is behind us is talking nonsense. That being said, I do have some staples, such as the Beatles, Stevie Wonder and Beethoven... Beethoven killed it with the 9th Symphony. I also like Gypsy Jazz.

Food: I prefer Asian over Mediterranean. Like cooking, and am not above ordering in or pizza.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The Internet
Pilot G-2 05 Pens (in black, of course)
New York Times
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How many people there are in the world... There are just so many if you take the time to actually think about it! Start with this: On your average commute, how many unique faces do you see? In London, on a half-hour commute, you might see 300-500 unique persons (unique meaning people that you haven't seen before). Each one of those persons has his/her own story and her/his own social network, which comprises about a thousand or so people in his/her life. Now, London has 7 million of those people!!! And that's not even the biggest city in the world! Tokyo's the biggest and has 12 million people. Combine these populations and it accounts for only 0.2% of the world population... That's so many people!!! How could you not think about that? I'm not Malthusian about this at all, in fact, I'm pretty confident that the world can hold up to 9 billion people (which are the most recent estimates by global organisations focussed on the subject)... 9 BILLION PEOPLE is such a huge number! Not in a negative way, just a crazy-to-think-about way.
On a typical Friday night I am

Usually out exploring, usually with a drink in hand
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I long to visit Ulaanbaatar and Pyongyang...
