I've been thinking a lot of having a dating ratings system. I've
met a lot of guys. Most of them were cool, but with seedy
intentions. Some were confused, and some were plain assholes. The
#1 thing I'm looking for in a guy is for them to not have any
"hangups". When I say "hangups" here, I mean other girls from the
past, present, and/or future that he has not gotten over. If you
have a girl who is your ideal of what a girl should be that's fine.
If I'm not that girl don't talk to me. Really. Fuck buddies are
nice, but I, myself, feel like "fuck buddies" is a cop out for the
real thing. You don't think you're good enough for what you really
want? Also, just because we met online doesn't mean an instant
fuck-fest. Sure, you're looking for some fun. There is the option
when we make our profiles to point out that that is what we're
looking for by being on here. I don't believe that I selected that
option myself. *checks profile* New friends, Long-term dating,
Short-term dating, Activity partners, Long-distance pen
pals...Nope! No fuck buddy! I've met some really cool guys on this
site, and found that their personalities match my own. The thing
is, though, that once there is that indication to me that all they
want is a "fuck buddy" it totally diminishes them as a person to
me. I know guys will be guys, but I'd rather become friends with
someone than just fuck them. I'd rather treat them as a person like
I want to be treated than just use them for their dick even though
I'm sure most guys say they wouldn't care. Then guys wonder why
girls pull the same fuck 'em and leave 'em bullshit.
