I'm a very curious individual. I like to learn what makes things, and people, tick. Kind of like Sylar from Heroes without all the killing (because honestly, that would be really messy and have you ever tried to get blood out of a carpet?).

I enjoy puzzles: crosswords, logic puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, etc.

I have an odd sense of humor. I don't know how to describe it really.

I am very quiet in person until you get to know me, but I am incredibly talkative in text be it IM's, e-mails, chatting in online games, etc. I have been known to tell people things in text that I would never have told someone face to face.

Working at a job I enjoy and trying to finish up school. I may not be doing what I love but I love what I do and feel pretty safe saying that I think my job is cooler than your job. I work on automated testing for video games. That means I write computer programs that test video games. That's right, I work at a video game company... I know you're jealous.

People watching... seriously... I could sit somewhere with a steady flow of foot traffic and people watch for hours.

I am also very good at avoiding cameras. I seem to have a talent for knowing where a camera will be at any moment and then not being there myself so there are not a lot of pictures of me anywhere.

I'm a fairly decent cook. I can follow recipes easy enough but it's more fun to try to be creative in the kitchen, though that doesn't always end well. I make a pretty good lime crusted tuna. The recipe can also be used for chicken.

As a quiet person who tends to avoid being the center of anyone's attention I couldn't tell you what people notice first.

Snowcrash is definitely up on my list of favorite books. I think I am on my 6th or 7th copy now because I keep handing them out so others will read it and never see it again. Other than that I enjoy the Harry Potter books, the two Dan Brown books I've read (Angels & Demons, and The Da Vinci Code), The Wheel of Time series, textbooks (even for classes I'm not taking), books about the sciences, philosophy, new age topics... really pretty much anything. I like to read and I love to learn.

Some favorites: the Miyazaki films, Pi, Office Space, Shaun of the Dead, Stardust, V for Vendetta, Hoodwinked. I will watch pretty much anything. If I don't like the movie I can always turn it off, walk out of the theater, or get all MST3K on the film.

I am by no means a music buff but I will listen to pretty much anything. Lately I've had several Sirenia albums on repeat on my laptop, but my iTunes library (which is different on my two computers) and my CD collection will reveal a wide range of musical interests including anything from the already mentioned Sirenia to Nonpoint to Dashboard Confessional, to The Buggles to Enya... I've also got a fair amount (read, a couple hours worth) of electronic/trance music released under a creative commons license. I even have a song by Leonard Nimoy from the album he and William Shatner released ages ago. Thanks to Pandora I recently discovered Röyksopp and have been spending a good bit of time listening to them and sharing their music with friends.

I am fairly adventurous when it comes to food and will try almost anything once (and more than once if I find that I enjoy it). Typical favorites though would be sushi, pasta, chicken, and macaroni and cheese. I also love a really good eggplant parm sub.

I talk to animals and inanimate objects (like my car). I don't expect them to respond, but it doesn't stop me from talking.
