Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I never know what to say in these things. It's easier to get to
know someone through conversation. I guess the basics will have to
First off, if you're married, recently divorced (like in the last
year), or separated, I'm not interested. No, that isn't a
challenge, I'm serious and I will block you if you are. In my
experience men who have recently gotten out of a relationship of
that magnitude have a lot of healing to do, and I don't want to get
"punished" for the transgressions of your ex. For the men who are
married, you are just sleezy.
I'm currently a mental health case manager. I graduated with my
MEd. in Counseling in December. I really love my job. The people I
work with (co-workers) are hilarious, and my client's are some of
the strongest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Raising my kiddo, and working full-time. I hope to take the NCE to
become a provisionally licensed professional counselor within the
next couple of months. I also hope to take the licensure exam to
become a provisionally licensed marriage and family therapist
within the next few years.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening. I guess that's why being a therapist is my choice
profession. I really want to help others. I have a firm belief that
a higher power puts trials and hardships in our lives so that we
can help others with the knowledge gained by overcoming them.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Lord knows! Probably my smile or my eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'm kind of a geek when it comes to movies and T.V. shows. I love
anything Joss Whedon had any part of creating: Firefly, Serenity,
Buffy, Angel, Dollhouse....etc, etc. I love musical theater... I
have a recent affection for Doctor Who. I have almost worn my
Kindle out reading, but I don't really have a favorite author. I
love music. At one time it was a major part of my life. I like
classic rock, hair bands, alternative, some country....
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My best friend
My job....although I would probably do it for free, unfortunately
that's not the type of world we live in...
Resiliency...if it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why people do what they do. Why they make the choices they make. I
guess that's all part of becoming a therapist--trying to see the
world from other's perspectives; put myself in other's shoes.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably trying catch up on cleaning or laundry. I used to sing
karaoke, but it has been a while. Kind of miss it. Haven't found
anything that makes my soul content like music.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I hate being late for an appointment. I once had a band instructor
(yep, ex band geek) who told us that "If you're on time, you've
already missed something." I dislike feeling like I'm rushing
around, but instead want to allow myself plenty of time to enjoy
and appreciate an experience.
