My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm easy to be with unless you are a bigot, insane republican, religious zealot or have an ego the size of Texas with nothing to back it up. Otherwise I can appreciate pretty much any other people's point of view even if I don't agree with them. I can see things from different perspectives. I've never been married, have no kids and live with two dogs. After many years of dating and long term relationships I took a couple year break just to hang out with myself and see what I was like as a 40 something. I found out that this is really the best time so far in my life! I realized I don't "need to be with" someone but have come to a point where I'd really like to "be with" someone. I miss having a partner in crime. I miss being hugged. I miss that feeling of being excited to see someone- as for a worthy candidate for that position ...just be able to laugh at yourself and have a good sense of humor (and a sharp wit doesn't hurt) like animals, spicy food and sleeping in on Sundays. I find confidence, intelligence and self assurance very sexy. There is a special place in my heart for cocky nerds. Anyone that can out smart ass me makes me tingle! Also if you don't live with your mom, you have a job, have a drivers license, no std's and a minimal criminal record that would make you more appealing too. Just saying.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to spread the awesome. Sharing. Taking my vitamins. Not taking myself or others too seriously. Trying to be the person my dogs think i am. Saving money to go to Vegas. Doing right by my friends. Doing things that make me happy. Doing my best to eliminate the stress from my life (and doing a damn good job if i do say so myself.) I'm the creative type and with the holidays coming I'm making a lot of my gifts for people. I make jewelry and paint and try to find some kind of cool tree ornament to make every year. I'm no Martha Stewart but I do peruse her magazine occasionally for ideas. :) I just got my first smart phone and I'm having a blast learning all the things I can do with it- all the app's are overwhelming! I love me some good social networking. :)
update: It is now spring and my new endeavor is transforming my average boring balcony at my apartment into an oasis. So far I've put down new flooring, created a garden that when it blooms will hopefully draw hummingbirds, made a nice little pond/fountain out of an old wash tub and got some pretty neat furniture items off of Craigslist. I've really had fun scouring Goodwill, Value Village and Craigslist for interesting and quirky things for my new oasis. Some days i can't wait to get home from work and have a glass of wine out in the oasis and feed the little fishes in my pond!
Having had short hair all my life the last couple of years I've decided to grow it out and see how that works. i have mixed feelings about the look - sometimes liking it and sometimes feeling like I've lost my mojo. I could cut it off at any given minute. i can be impulsive like that. *** update: Hair today, gone tomorrow--- will get pics up soon!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Untying knots & working under pressure (which is good because I'm a total procrastinator). I feel I am a pretty good driver and love to go on road trips but haven't had an opportunity for a while to go on one. Lack of motivation I guess. I did just see this rally driving school up in Snohomish that I would love to go take a class at- it would be awesome to drive really fast and not always be looking in the rear view mirror for the flashing lights.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My sparkling personality... and my humility. Maybe my 3 legged dog... ? I'm not sure, I'll have to ask someone at the grocery store tonight what they think.

I'm not really picky but can appreciate the good stuff in life. The beer can be cheap as long as the tequila isn't. I don't read as much as I'd like but when i do it's usually animal related or horror or biographical. I'm good with just about all music except for reggae. It makes me feel stoned and sleepy. My genre was the 80's and i still like listening to the old stuff- new wave, rock, blues. I tend to listen to NPR in the car to try to keep up on the world but sometimes with politics I get a little bogged down. Love spicy food, Thai and Mexican are my faves. I have friends from New Orleans and had the opportunity to visit there a few years back and fell in love with the food and culture down there. I am a carnivore that eats a lot of vegetables. I don't go to many shows but was lucky enough to catch Thomas Dolby at a dinner theater a couple of months ago and it was so fun. He was one of my 80's icons that I never had the chance to see back in the day. I didn't really do the grunge thing but did fall in love with Pearl Jam and still love them to this day. My best friend has a 17 yo boy and i like it when he makes CD's for me of what he's listening to. Makes me feel hip. ;)

Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Tired. Ilove my job but the end of the week is for relaxation. Special dinner, nice bottle of wine and catch up on the DVR recordings. I kick it on Saturdays. :) That's one thing I miss is some one to hang out and watch movies with. Did I mention I love horror movies??

I cannot be monogamous. I am in love with and will frequently cheat on you with bacon. It's my guilty pleasure. Take me as i am.
