I am inaudible, benevolent, and spatial.

My Self-Summary

I like to be quiet and sweet and enjoy things, but a majority of my time is spent in situations that make me uncomfortable (ahem). I like a sherry and a top hat, I like a thrift and a penny, I like a lass and a picnic, I like croquet and sometimes I like a punch in the nose, just to keep things exciting. I enjoy the work of Egon schiele, Larry Rivers, Ray Johnson, and Gustav Klimt.

What I’m doing with my life

I used to work at a library. I moved to Portland, Maine to study painting at MECA. I live to create. I like to paint and draw, and I've been led to believe that that is what I should do to support myself while I slowly die. My diciplines include, but are not limited to: kite flying, drink mixing, barn cat naming, bicycle riding, fucking up and wandering.

I’m really good at

The first things people usually notice about me

curly hair, glasses, doesn't talk, may be creepy, you look like someone on the tv. I'm not entirely self aware, and the nature of your own perception is that you can never really know what others really think about you. So nuts to this question.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

a.) I enjoy reading books by: Arthur Conan Doyle, Jules Verne, Robert Louis Stevenson, David Sedaris, Sarah Vowell, William Blake, Tom Robbins, Edgar Allan Poe, Alan Moore, Eddie Campbell, Chris Ware, Gary Panter, Jeffrey Brown, Lucy Knisley and Charles Dickens among others. I also enjoy a variety of Non-Fiction. (and the unholy bucked toothed slack-jawed daughter of writing and pictures, comics. Both in strip and long format)

b.) I fancy a picture created under the careful hands of people like: Wes Anderson, Michel Gondry, and Joel Cohen et Ethan Cohen.

c.) Primarily a folk fan, I was raised by Paul Simon's voice, but I can really get into anything. A month ago, I was obsessed with Death Row records, and now I'm getting back into Joan Baez, The Incredible Jimmy Smith, and Juan Esquivel. I've really been enjoying Andrew Bird and the remnants of the Elephant Six Collective. I'm a lifelong fan of K records and Calvin Johnson. Found music is really nice too. A couple of weeks ago someone donated a lot of tapes to the library that we couldn't use, so I took them home. One of them was a tape of old sailing songs. I almost cried.

d.) Food is an incredible thing. We should exchange recipes. I like nice things with great ingredients, but often, when left to my own devices, I find myself eating a coctail of tomato soup, franks, and rice (or some other such culinary travesty). I am not a vegetarian, but I do enjoy vegetables more than meat in most cases.

The six things I could never do without

I spend a lot of time thinking about

art, people(not always a fan), interdiciplinary activities, pop culture, escape, the Royal British Navy ca. 1800.

On a typical Friday night I am

T(aking) C(are of) B(ussiness)

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I ain't got what you look for.

You should message me if

You want to talk about Bill Murray, Naval History, Sherlock Holmes, Charles Dickens, Portland, Maine, or any other little thing that plagues you so.
