I've got a very good life - fulfilling career, wonderful daughter, supportive friends, loving family. But I miss the company of a man! I would love to meet an intelligent, cultured man to spend time with on the rare occasions that I am free. Let's meet downtown for drinks, maybe catch a show at the Jazz Showcase. I'd love to share interpretations of the art at local galleries, try out new restaurants, revisit a museum.
What am I looking for? Right now, friendship and companionship. For the next few years, I don't want the complications of trying to commingle children and families. Let's just enjoy quality time in each other's company when our schedules permit. But you MUST be a well-educated professional who is interested in art, music and theatre. If you bicycle, play tennis or ski - bonus! (but those are things I can do with friends, too.) Must have a positive attitude toward life, intellectual curiosity and a sense of humor (preferably a little dry). Tall doesn't hurt, either - I'm 5'7" and wear heels pretty often.
So what do I have to offer? The first three adjectives that come to mind to describe myself are "curious," "optimistic" and "energetic." I am passionate about life, love, friends, family, travel and live jazz. I enjoy exploring all the fine cultural institutions and great architecture this beautiful city has to offer, and want to share them with a man who equally appreciates them. Love going out for spicy food (Mexican, Thai and Indian top the list), or just a glass of wine and appetizers. Listen to a lot of jazz, mostly hard bop (Miles Davis, Thelonius Monk, John Coltrane) but also Dave Brubeck, Stan Getz, and Latin jazz (Jobim is my favorite). Have traveled quite a bit – left my heart in San Francisco and Puerto Vallarta and London and New York - but have many more stops I'd like to make on the journey. Am "Ginger" on the outside, "Marianne" on the inside.
