Let's jump on the train an go to Seattle for the weekend , or a hot air balloon adventure .. Or in the winter go shot some pool, go bowling, or grab some lunch ..looking to make time for more travel outside the U.S Europe an the Caribbean... I am a great listener, patient, wise, and pitch in around the house. I am not afraid of hard work, and actually prefer it.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I finished my two-year degree two years in Eugene, and then relocated to Portland for my career. I am working full-time, getting used to the hustle and bustle of the big city, and am ready to make new friends in the area.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
being thorough on any task I start, seeking and finding a bargain, negotiating, preparing and enjoying a great meal, being thoughtful and considerate of others, and expressing my feelings.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have had more women I just met tell me I am handsome in the past few months. Too bad they were my mom’s or grandma’s age. Actually, a good friend of mine says it is my deep brown eyes, and youthful appearance that caught her attention.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I read a lot online, researching what I want to invest in, and what activities I may be interested in participating in now that I am in the Portland Metro Area.
Movies I love include romantic comedies, comedies in general, I've seen The Best Years of Our Lives and Sargent York a least 30 times. I am not ashamed to admit I love Pride and Prejudice.
I really enjoy Downton Abbey, and am looking forward to the new season. I also appreciate the HBO shows like Nurse Jackie, The Big C, Dexter, etc. I find 30 Rock and Two and a Half Men great for veg’ing out after work. I also like to stay informed on what is going on in the world so try to catch PBS NewsHour when I can.
My music taste leans toward classic rock (Zeppelin, Rush, Billy Idol, etc) but I enjoy Adele a lot, too. Just got turned on to Flogging Molly, and now need to find that CD.
I love all kinds of food, but have been eating less of all the good stuff, I cook comfort food when cooking for others, but mainly stick to salads with interesting ingredients when I fend for myself. And I like it spicy!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
These are things I don’t want to do without, ( not in order) My electric blanket, my sons, someone to come home too, long wet kisses, and most of all ... love to share with you.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What my retirement will look like, and if I will find a loving partner to share my life with for the second act of this adventure.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I hate dishonest people and rude drivers
