My self-summary
Is everybody on this site awkward and go on hikes all the time????

Call me Cord. I'm really awkward and I go on hikes all the time just like every single other person on Planet Earth apparently. People who first meet me usually say "wow you're so tall" or "has anybody told you you look like Frodo?" I scare Japanese tourists when I walk toward them because they think I'm some kind of lanky Godzilla.

A little more about me, I love the arts. I used to work as a counselor for a Broadway musical camp/performing arts center and I'm an absolute film fanatic and can talk about/reference movies for hours. If those topics bore you, then I'm not your Huckleberry.

I'm not a professional singer but I do find myself breaking into song about mundane activities I'm performing. My "vacuuming the stairs" single has been getting some early buzz in the underground scene and is about to drop soon.

Think I'm too much of a nerd? Lady, you're in luck! I enjoy watching/playing sports, drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon/craft brews and watching grown men beat the piss out of each other too! I'm a man without a country! I live an exit away from Angels Stadium and the Honda Center so I try to see hockey and baseball games as often as possible. Also, bonus points if you're a Packers fan!

Tl;dr: I'm a very mellow, laid-back guy who that doesn't sit around swelling in anger all the time. I value mutual respect in a romantic relationship and I find backwards hats/bro culture repulsive and I don't like being pigeonholed to being a nerd, hipster, indie or the like. I yam what I yam.

This online dating thing is weird, man.
What I’m doing with my life
Working full-time for a tech company, traveling, exercising, trying out different breweries/wineries, teaching myself the ukulele, mastering Spanish then on to French, camping, writing, and doing freelance journalism/film criticism on the side. I like to stay busy and do what I'm passionate about. I also volunteer with special needs children/adults and at the homeless shelter. Always striving to be a better version of myself. Always trying to expose myself to new experiences, cultures and making a difference in people's lives.
I’m really good at
-referencing movie scenes in response to how I feel emotionally
-making up characters
-sketch comedy
-quoting movies
-making people laugh
-giving advice
-impressions of celebrities that are no longer relevant
-writing (when I decide to do it)
-trivia
-listening
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm really tall, my eyes, and I "look like the dude from Spider-Man."

The six things I could never do without
Comedy.
Laughter.
Film.
Literature.
Friends.
Love/Romance.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
"I married the love of my life at 22. We were married for 40 years before she passed. I always thought she would outlive me but she didn't. I visit her grave every day."

Man. Don't we all hope to find that in our lives?
On a typical Friday night I am
doing some variation of this. Why else would I be on OkCupid?

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't believe romance/chivalry is dead even though there is a lot about our current culture that deters me at times.

I'm not much of a planner. I like spontaneity.

Also, I pee sitting down sometimes because it's comfortable.
You should message me if
-you want to talk about movies or Star Wars: The Force Awakens
-you enjoy kissing in the rain or reading by the fireplace
-you are looking for somebody you can be weird with
-you enjoy a cold beer/cocktail
-you don't mind cuddling, commitment, or being physically affectionate
- you appreciate old Simpsons episodes

Bonus points if you catch double features at THE NEW BEVERLY CINEMA, go to the THE FRIDA CINEMA, THE MUSEUM OF DEATH, THE KITSCH BAR, THE QUILL or listen to F THIS MOVIE! podcast.
