My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Is everybody on this site "awkward" and go on hikes all the time????

Call me Cord. I'm really awkward and I go on hikes all the time just like everybody else on Planet Earth. I am not a space alien. I am 6' 2," so Japanese tourists cower and run from me in terror. I love strong, independent women (bonus points if you are British or French) who think for themselves and respect men. Nothing turns me off more than a woman uttering the phrase "be a fucking man!"

I try to volunteer with special needs children/adults as often as I can because charity is very important to me and I'm not that much of a cynical misanthrope.

I try to eat healthy and go to the gym often, but I'm no gym rat so I don't post unfunny gym memes on my facebook all the time. I'm a pretty lanky creature and I don't expect who I date to aspire to be the Olympic ideal, but I do appreciate somebody who tries to take care of themselves.

I love the arts. I'm an absolute film fanatic and I used to work as a counselor for a performing arts/Broadway camp, so often you will find me breaking into song about mundane activities I'm performing--my "cleaning the bathroom" single has been getting some early buzz and is about to drop soon.

Think I'm too much of a nerd? You're in luck! I enjoy watching/playing sports, drinking crappy lite beer and watching grown men beat the piss out of each other too! I'm a man without a country! I live an exit away from Angels Stadium and the Honda Center so I try to see hockey and baseball games as often as possible. Also, Go Packers!

I write and read often and if you do either you're instantly more attractive to me! I feel like I'm using too many exclamation points!
I also am really passionate about stand-up comedy; it's an art form I profoundly respect and tells things like it is so if you're uptight and a TUMBLR SJW we probably won't get along. Bonus points if you like Louis C.K., Patton Oswalt, Hannibal Burress or know who Todd Barry is.

All in all, I'm a really mellow, laid-back guy. I don't sit around swelling in anger all the time. I find backwards hats/bro culture repulsive and I don't like being pigeonholed to being a nerd, hipster, indie or the like. I yam what I yam.

Tl;dr My name is Cord. I enjoy film, comics, stand up-comedy, writing, sports and other stuff and I'm looking for a respectful woman to share my life with.

One clip that sums me up perfectly:
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working full-time, doing odd jobs like building saunas and doing freelance journalism/film critcism on the side. I like to keep busy. Journalism gives me an excuse to get into cool parties/events and rub elbows with celebrities I wouldn't normally meet and discover new artistic talent. I also have a side business selling rare antiques/ collectibles.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-quoting movies
-sketch comedy
-impressions of celebrities that are no longer relevant
-writing (I don't agree, but others tell me)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm really tall and I "look like the dude from Spider-Man."

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Existence is random. Has no pattern save what we imagine after staring at it for too long. No meaning save what we choose to impose. This rudderless world is not shaped by vague metaphysical forces. It is not God who kills the children. Not fate that butchers them or destiny that feeds them to the dogs. It’s us. Only us. Streets stank of fire. The void breathed hard on my heart, turning its illusions to ice, shattering them. Was reborn then, free to scrawl own design on this morally blank world.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Drinking beer and standing near cute girls I'm thinking about talking to and then spilling it on myself or them or both of us.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I pee sitting down sometimes because it's comfortable.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
you enjoy a cold beer, you are open to trying new things with each other, you don't mind cuddling and watching a bad movie, you appreciate old Simpsons episodes, enjoy pub trivia and you're not afraid to say yes to things your gut says no to (not robbing banks or least not yet).

Bonus points if you are familiar with THE NEW BEVERLY CINEMA, THE FRIDA CINEMA, THE MUSEUM OF DEATH, THE KITSCH BAR, THE QUILL, F! THIS MOVIE podcast, HOW DID THIS GET MADE? or other kitschy things.
