My self-summary
I am very much a geek, first off. You will always want me on your team for trivia night, I can quote the movie 'Clue' from beginning to end, and I read every single article that gets posted on cracked.com. I even Reddit, on occasion.

I grew up just outside of Nashville, TN, so there will always be a part of me that loves country music from sheer nostalgia if nothing else. I say y'all a lot, but beyond that I don't really have an accent, sorry to disappoint ;)

I'm childfree and pretty serious about it (so no parents, please), I'm currently a full time employee at a call center and part time college student, and my greatest goal in life is to set foot on a extraterrestrial surface (I have a savings fund for when commercial trips start happening!).

I'm an amateur linguist; I love words and grammar and people who know how to use them correctly. Intelligence is the sexiest thing on Earth, particularly when combined with a sense of humor. I would totally marry the BBC's Sherlock Holmes...yanno, were he not an asshole.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm just starting to go back to school for a second degree in Computer Science, since it turned out that studying Japanese and World Business is code for majoring in call center.
I’m really good at
Writing. I rarely finish things, but I'm really excited about my current novel-in-the-making.

I love to cook. I make fantastic (if spicy) salsa, and the best cheesecake you will ever eat. I'm not even gonna be humble about it!

Playing board games. Especially the European-style games that have emerged in recent years - currently Ticket to Ride is my favorite, and I kick ass at it. I can probably beat you at Scrabble.
The first things people usually notice about me
My acerbic wit and erudite conversation.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I have a bit of an unhealthy obsession with Gone with the Wind, and if provoked I will discuss it for hours. I do not recommend provoking this. I'm also a huge Jane Austen fan, and I'll read anything that makes me laugh.

Movies: I adore movies. I will watch just about anything once, but I particularly enjoy movies with completely unrealistic explosions, big musical numbers or overdramatic love stories. Star Wars is my all-time favorite (the original trilogy anyhow)...and, well, let's just say I've got an excel file for keeping track of what movies I own, and leave it at that.

Music: I admit to being very Top 40, though I can definitely slip into some good rock from time to time. My favorite band of all time is Jimmy Eat World; but I can be found at the odd 10 Years concert too.

Food: I'm still getting over a lifetime of being super picky, so it's kinda hard to say 'cause it keeps changing. Lately I've been making a lot of my own food, and it doesn't really keep a single type, just usually spicy and/or salty.
The six things I could never do without
1.) Access to the internet, including the device, whether phone or computer (currently the preferred device is my really awesome home-made computer)
2.) My cat
3.) A decent kitchen
4.) My sister
5.) Movies
6.) Blueberries. There are literally pounds of them in my freezer right now.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Theme park rides (and how to improve my old favorites), and my pet political issues. I probably care more than I should about both of these things.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually at a movie or playing board games with friends
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I get into arguments on the internet. I know perfectly well that it's pointless, and yet...and yet!

You are smart, funny, nerdy, don't do drugs, do like cats, and especially if you want to spend some time playing epic board games.
