My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Intelligent, intuitive, very analytical and clear, and creative.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Composer of art (classical) music. I'm actually getting played these days. I realize that there are many who rightfully cringe at the very mention of modern music. I'll just say it doesn't have to be that way. To show I am not one of those "modrin composers", and not from ego, I decided to publish here the address of one short piece of mine the conductor put on youtube.

It was written last year to fulfill a request for something similar to Barber's lovely Adagio - most of my music is somewhat more adventurous. I also do sales for a music related company I started with a friend to pay the mortgage.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Teaching piano. Coming up with pretty tunes. (Yes, I believe art music should still have them.)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'd like to think people notice that I'm a clear thinker, have a developed sense of and passion for fairness and justice, clear ideas about beauty and aesthetics, and am a very good arguer.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Well, first Bach, then some others.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Bach, coffee, my sweet dog (well, she's 17, so I'll probably have to do without her eventually), a few good friends. Speaking of my dog, this evening, some poor, presumably female wretch ratted me out - I had the temerity to post a picture of my sweet mutt solo. OKC seems to have a policy that allows you to have a picture of your feet on your page (yes, I have seen this), but not of your pet if you are not in it. I think it's reasonable to presume that the purpose of a picture in a profile is to give a reader more information about the subject of that profile. I ask you, dear reader, what, in your opinion, would tell you more about me - a picture of my sweet dog or one of my feet?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The function of art and whether it is fulfilling that function these days.

Just now, I've spent a very little time thinking about why OKC considers browsing invisibly something worth paying for. Why would I want to browse invisibly? Don't I want someone to know that I found her picture attractive enough to click on? And while I appreciate the thought of being listed as someone's favorite, I hope it's understood that as a non-paying member, I'm unable to see who has such refined taste in men.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Sitting at my computer or piano trying to find notes.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Do you remember that episode of Seinfeld where they were trying to figure out who stole the raisins? Well....

You really don't like Shostakovich. (just kidding, sorta...)
