My self-summary
I'm upbeat and outgoing. I went through university for marine biology and sometimes you can find me watching dorky documentaries and reading books about sharks. I try to always surround myself with my friends which often involves roadtripping to southern Ontario and planning random adventures. I'm a bit of a country girl having grown up in the valley but I see myself living near the ocean in the future.
What I’m doing with my life
I was that kid that said she wanted to be a marine biologist and then actually went through with it. I spent some time abroad interning with sharks and living the island life. I just moved back to the Ottawa area after working for an environmental not-for-profit organization in Nova Scotia, and am contemplating the next step in this adventure called life.
I’m really good at
baking yummy things, baseball, travel planning, ninja stuff, lying on the beach with a cold drink in my hand, listening to others, spending time with the people who mean most to me, going out and having fun
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite Books: I'm a big fan of reading, and enjoy reading a wide variety of books. Some of my favorites include - The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo trilogy, Angels and Demons, The DaVinci Code, Lost Symbols, Water For Elephants, The Help, The Curious Case of the Dog in the Night, Harry Potter (because I grew up with it), and many, many more.

Favorite Movies: I love all kinds of movies - comedy, drama, action, and chick flicks (obviously). Some movies that I never get sick of are - Jaws, Superbad, Gone in 60 Seconds, Oceans 11, Inception

Favorite Shows: I love documentaries (nerdy, I know). Blue Planet and Planet Earth have some of the most breathtaking videos I have ever seen! As for tv shows, my favourites are all over the map - How I Met Your Mother, True Blood, Dexter, Big Bang Theory.

Favorite Music: I listen to many different music genres, and what I'm listening to at any given time is really dependent on my mood - currently, I'm in a big country phase.

Favorite Food: Where to even begin with this one? Again, I think what I like to eat goes hand in hand with my mood. I'd like to think I'm a healthy eater - I try to avoid junk food, but sometimes you have to indulge! I'm not a big meat eater, but I'm by no means a vegetarian. I don't eat seafood (I can't bring myself to eat what I study), but I don't have an issue with people who do (as long as it's sustainable).
The six things I could never do without
My Friends - I have some of the best friends, and I really don't know where I'd be without them.

My Family - As I've gotten older, I've realized how important it is to spend as much time as you can with your family. They may drive me crazy, but I love them to death.

The Beach - Everything is better at the beach

Music - I love nothing more than to crank up the tunes and have a dance party.

Adventure - Whether it's interning in the Bahamas, heading to Vegas for the weekend with my girlfriends, or just roadtripping somewhere, it's always nice to get away on an adventure and forget about everything else.

My Cell Phone - It's a sad addiction, but I'm not entirely sure what I'd do without it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what my next adventure will be!
On a typical Friday night I am
At home curled up with a book or watching tv.
Hanging out with some friends at a pub having a few drinks.
Watching a hockey game.
Partying like it's my job.
