My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Geek, Patriot, Movie Buff, Foodie (but not in a snobbish way). That's the quick version. More below...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently at Johns Hopkins working on an MS in Information Systems! Think mostly business school, but with a focus on tech.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Public speaking, and just interacting with people in social situations. Also, prepping for the impending Zombie Apocalypse. Always have your go-bag ready!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm usually smiling or making someone else smile. I've got a sense of humor and I rarely take anything seriously that can't cause the immediate loss of life, limb, or eyesight.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Definitely George R.Martin's Fire and Ice series aka Game of Thrones for the HBO loyalists. I'm a geek at heart. I am just getting into Homeland although I hear season 2 has been a bit outlandish...I guess we'll see how that goes. Sons of Anarchy and Boardwalk Empire are also two personal favorites, but The Walking Dead takes the cake for best network show right now. Can't forget about Mad Men though. As far as music, there's quite the eclectic mix on account of me being the son of two musicians. Here's what's been on the list lately:

Muse, The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Blur, Arctic Monkeys, The Killers. Thats just a small bit. My taste runs very where from classic rock to the soundtrack of a specific movie . Speaking of:

Movies (in no particular order, after Star Wars): Star Wars (original trilogy; only good one out of the new ones was Episode 3), Inglorious Basterds, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Rocky 1-4, The Godfather Parts 1 and 2, Pretty much any Wes Anderson film (Moonrise Kingdom was awesome). The Dark Knight Trilogy. This is a smattering, and there are many more which I'll be happy to discuss in person.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Sci-Fi and Fantasy, Movies, A good Red, America, travel, and the beach.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I think by now you know I'm a geek. Anything geekful (Sci-fi, fantasy, zombie apocalypse) that didn't exist would find me as a highly underwhelmed person. That being said, I also like sports (Football and Hockey, aaaand to a lesser extent, Baseball). Especially since I'm a Pittsburgh fan ((born and raised) although I'm not averse to ladies who hail from rival cities).
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with my friends, which for me is the best way to unwind from a long week of work. Sometimes that means drinks at a local bar, while other nights it'll be going to see a new movie or a concert.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've smuggled diamonds

I've actually been asked about this so many times now that I have to add this: I was being sarcastic.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're looking for a confident geek who's got a great sense of humor and is always up for trying out something new.

Regarding the sense of humor part: This can be a huge deal breaker for me if you were born without the ability to humorously self-deprecate (I'm not talking The Woody Allen neurotic kind, just the kind any normal person with an ounce of humility has). Nobody's perfect, so if you get easily agitated or offended by being the occasional butt end of a joke, you're not going to have a lot of fun around me. Laughter: it's the key to a long life.

So, because I believe honesty is the best policy, I just recently got out of a relationship so I'm taking some time to reassess my personal life. With the added stress of school, I'm in no position to really get back into an emotionally committed relationship. If you're looking for something long-term, I'm not really in a position to commit to that right now because I barely have time to think beyond my next class. If that's not an issue, I'd be happy to grab drinks or a bite or catch a flick or a concert!
