My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I think of myself as a trustworthy and easygoing guy. Currently in grad school at McMaster after discovering this perfect opportunity for me a year ago. My work involves improving the effectiveness of educational practices, something that I believe is important to every one of us.

I enjoy travelling to new places, be it big cities or somewhere less well-known. There's always something to discover out in the world. Including here.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Grad student in psychology at McMaster. I'm currently looking at ways of applying cognitive principles to education.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Finding directions, from what people tell me. Not a bad skill to have when travelling!

I've been trying to improve my cooking and although I can't say I'm great at it, I can cook much better than when I started.

I used to teach math so I'm not bad at explaining things (I hope!).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
This is a hard one. I think everyone has different perspectives, so you'll have to tell me!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: 1984 (as well as other Orwell books), Chronicles of Narnia, Life of Pi, just to name a few.

Music: I'm not too picky with what I listen to.

Movies: Les Miserables, Argo, Wreck it Ralph, Cloud atlas, Looper, Inception

Food: I love sushi and some good pasta, though I would probably be up for trying anything.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- Close friends
- Good food
- The internet
- Places to travel to
- Motivation for promising research
- My bed at the end of the day
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
New places to go to and things to see, research ideas, and eventually, where I'll wind up after I finish school. Plus, where I will find that special someone.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Catching up with some friends (board games anyone?), or having a night in while watching some shows.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'll save this for when we get to know each other.
