My self-summary
Jack of all trades, master of puns. Often obsessive over projects, and sometimes forget to have a life outside those projects. I usually work as close to 24 hours a day as possible, whether that really benefits me or not. I make my own hours, so that probably says a lot about me. I'm a business owner in the fine arts industrial complex, successful enough to where I can do pretty much whatever I want and make decent money doing it. That doesn't stop me from doing the same sorts of things over and over. Sometimes it's easier to work with clients than it is to do my own stuff. I want to stop being so safe though.

I'm probably more eccentric than most people could handle. I raise earthworms in my basement for composting and for fishing. I'm planning on starting an Earl Grey tea garden in my backyard this spring. I drink a lot of coffee and I drink a lot of alcohol. I spend a lot of money on food, and when I feel like cooking, I'm a bit of a gourmet. When cooking for others, I usually stick to the classics (ie Mexican food), but when cooking for myself, I like to use ingredients that many Americans wouldn't find palatable. If you're adventurous, ask me to make you paella. It would make my day.

I am absolutely clueless when it comes to making myself seem likeable in this sort of context. It's not exactly a confidence issue. I'm just a little antisocial. It's part of who I am, and I accept it. As far as relationships, and even friendships go, I think I could only be compatible with another introvert. I've always got a lot of wild ideas flying around in my head, and as much as I may seem kind of quiet in a public setting, one on one, I love having someone to share them with.
What I’m doing with my life
Work work work. Trying to make time to work on personal projects, but there aren't enough hours in a day. Also, writing closed captions for deaf people for money on the side.
I’m really good at
Alienating myself.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Indie & small press lit. Novellas and overly complex books, and oddly little in the middle. I also have a strong appreciation for short stories and poetry. My favorite writer is Richard Brautigan. My book collection is starting to get large-ish. Lean toward the heavily literary.

Film tastes are all over the place from mumblecore to over-the-top kung fu flicks. I was a film school nerd. As for TV, Trek is always a winner. Louie, Broad City, Game of Thrones, uh, I mean, I like a lot of things. Passion for cartoons.

Music tastes change too often, but right now, I think my favorite band is Yo La Tengo. Have also been listening to a lot of Animal Collective and Andrew Bird, owing nothing to the fact that they're next to each other alphabetically. Also been kind of into Zappa lately if we're talking the other end of the alphabet. Minutemen. Sonic Youth. I prefer complicated to simple, generally.

If we're going to be honest here, my least favorite food is probably asparagus, and my favorite food is probably cheap whiskey.
The six things I could never do without
Sunsets, clear lakes, travel by sea, new ideas, sense of adventure, and probably allergy medication.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I have a bad habit of obsessing over my company. Usually though, if I'm thinking really deeply, it's because I'm writing.
On a typical Friday night I am
Pretending that I don't have to get back to work on Monday.
You should message me if
you think you can coax me out of this work induced coma I've been in for the last year or so, if you live nearby, if you are bored, if you are a misfit.
