My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Jack of all trades, master of puns.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Running what's starting to be a fairly successful poetry publishing company. Trying to make time to work on my new novel and the MS DOS choose your own adventure program I'm coding, but there aren't enough hours in a day. Also, writing closed captions for deaf people in my spare time, partially because it makes me feel like I'm making a difference, partially because it pays the bills on the months when my pubhouse doesn't have any big releases.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
too many things, it feels like. Alienating myself.

Indie lit. I have a deep love for the art of the novella, as well as one for the overwhelmingly complex tome. If it takes more than an afternoon, but less than six months to read, it won't usually hold my attention. I also have a strong appreciation for short stories and poetry. My favorite writer is Richard Brautigan.

Film tastes are all over the place from mumblecore to over-the-top kung fu flicks. As for television, I usually lean either in the direction of slice of life character driven comedies (Louie, Broad City, etc.) or in the direction of dark serial dramas (X-Files, True Detective, Game of Thrones.) I also appreciate anime, but only when it's got a certain feng shui about it. The director who's most consistently hit that sweet spot for me has been Shinichiro Watanabe. A lot of cartoons, really. Archer has probably the most solid writing in all of television right now, though I didn't think season 6 was as good as season 5.

Music tastes change too often, but right now, I think my favorite band is Yo La Tengo. Have also been listening to a lot of Animal Collective and Andrew Bird, owing nothing to the fact that they're next to each other alphabetically. Seeing Sleater Kinney this month, which I'm looking forward to.

If we're going to be honest here, my least favorite food is probably asparagus, and my favorite food is probably cheap whiskey.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Sunsets, clear lakes, travel by sea, new ideas, sense of adventure, and probably allergy medication.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I have a bad habit of obsessing over my company. Usually though, if I'm thinking really deeply, it's because I'm writing a new book.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually hugging a bottle of that cheap whiskey I mentioned.

you think you can coax me out of this work induced coma I've been in for the last year or so, if you live close enough so I don't have to cross my fingers driving my shitty car for three hours, if you want to give me a new car, if you are bored, if you are a misfit.
