I have never been that good at describing myself, but here goes: I
am an arts administration teacher who is also one of the more avid
sports fans that you are likely to meet. In a former life (namely,
undergrad), I was a music major, and I still devote a lot of time
and attention outside of work to music and the arts. If I'm not
focusing on the arts, I'm probably adventuring and exploring around
the area, trying to track down a game featuring one of the teams
that I cheer for, or trying to find someone around here who
appreciates the ethos of the Big Ten (I hold two graduate degrees
from Ohio State; Go Buckeyes!). Within the last few years, I have
fallen in, out of, and back in love with running; I'm trying to
keep the romance going this time. Also, I like to relax by baking.
I mean, really, who doesn't like cookies? Mmm, cookies!
What I’m doing with my life
I just started working at a local college teaching arts
administration. Dream job FTW!
I’m really good at
Singing and getting people to laugh are probably at the top of the
list. I'm also a wiz at trivia (I've been on Jeopardy!; neat,
huh?), baking (delicious and therapeutic!), and occasionally making
candy (once in a blue moon, but it turns out so well).
The first things people usually notice about me
Physically, most everyone says my eyes. Usually after that, it is a
toss-up between the fact that my hair has been turning gray since I
was 13 and that my hair is thinning out. As for me personality
stuff, my sense of humor (like I said, I like making people laugh).
I've also been told that I come across as intimidating at first,
which has never made much sense to me, as I'm a big softee.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Mostly, I think about where exactly my life is going, and how I'm
going to play the cards I'm dealt. However, my mind tends to wander
a lot. It's not unusual for me to get to thinking about how the
Yankees or Buckeyes are doing, whether I remembered to lock the
front door, if my work is done, what route I'll be running on a
given night, what upcoming movies I'd like to see, and what's for
On a typical Friday night I am
As of late, Friday nights have involved relaxing on the couch to
catch up on work and reading.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a huge fear of failure. I think that it has held me back
before, but I'm working to make that a thing of the past.
You should message me if
You are interested in knowing more. Or if you're a nice person. Or
if you appreciate and/or abide the fact that I keep a kosher home.
Or think I sound mildly interesting. Really, you should just
message me; epic brownie points (and possibly epic brownies) will
be your reward! :)
