I am shy, quirky, and fun.

My Self-Summary

I'm still somewhat new to the area and looking for some new friends, possibly a love interest.

What I'm really looking for and most comfortable with right now is a relationship on the casual side - I don't mean sex. Friends first, hang out a bit, if we click, great! Lately I'm not a fan of rushing into things, it would be nice to take things slow this time.

I am comfortable with myself and my own (sometimes crazy) thoughts, child free, easy going, open minded, honest, a pacifist, uncomfortably shy, a little on the socially awkward side, and introverted. Once you get to know me, though, it's hard to believe I'm such an introvert.

When it comes to the "worlds smallest political quiz" I am more left than Gandhi.

I hate drama and confrontation. Seriously. I avoid it at almost all cost.

What I’m doing with my life

Right now I'm working for "the man". Eh, it's a job and it isn't half bad - it at least takes care of the bills.

I'm planning to save up, get back to school and on with my life. However, my life does and will NOT include children of my own. Thanks, but I'd much rather have cats, maybe even a dog. I'm perfectly happy with the fact I'm going to be a crazy cat lady one day.

I dream of California. After spending a few months in SoCal about two years ago, I've been homesick for the place. Being one of the nameless strangers wandering the streets of LA sounds heavenly.

Dream jobs would include:
Librarian, writer, editor - I suppose if I plan things just right, I could do all three.

I’m really good at

Sewing, being myself, cooking, making my friends laugh, select computer and video games, getting there on time, making decisions, being responsible, writing long snail mail letters, picking apart poorly-written anything :)

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm extremely shy.
...and up-front and honest. Ask me a question and I'll give you a straight-forward and sometimes blunt answer.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Favorite books are: anything by Frank McCourt or Knut Hamsun, Veil of Roses, Sula, The Bell Jar, Written on the Body, To Kill a Mockingbird, Catcher in the Rye, Holidays on Ice by David Sedaris...I have a lot of favorite books and wish I read more!

Movies: Donnie Darko, Moonstruck, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Knocked Up, Idiocracy, Up, Virgin Suicides, Requiem for a Dream...also a lot of favorites.

I'm open yet picky with music. A few favorites include: Radiohead, Garbage, NIN, Andrew Bird, Nirvana, Ivy, Morcheeba, Portishead, The Beatles, Elvis...

I recently told my room mate that I could live off rice porridge for breakfast, carrot casserole for lunch, and sushi for dinner for the rest of my life. Honestly, though, I always crave sushi. My homemade noodles are pretty amazing, though.

The six things I could never do without

Air, love, music, friends, coffee, memories.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

My future, and what I want to do with my life, what my niece and nephews will be like when they grow up.

On a typical Friday night I am

Almost anywhere at all. Hanging out with my friends, Simming, reading, sewing, working on my most recent crochet project, and occasionally out dancing.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm addicted to the color blue.

Also, my life is really an open book. You have a question? I have an honest answer. No tip-toeing around the subject.

You should message me if

You are between the ages of 21 and 35
You are nerdy (computer-y, [can and do] read, are into gaming, etc).
You have a decent grip on the English language - as in you if you know what spell check is and actually know how to use it. Please know the difference between there, their, and they're - and simply stuff like that.
You're not a drug/alcohol addict.
You are NOT homophobic/racist/general bigot (I'm a pretty big fag hag).
You ARE open, caring, intelligent, and not pushy.
