My self-summary
If there is an infinite number of parallel universes in at least one of them you will send me a message... and yes, in at least one of them you will find this introduction amusing.*

Hope you're laughing, because that qualifies as my best joke. Seriously.

Ok, focus, self-summary... Well, I love science, just say anything about mind, thinking, brain... and I'll get all excited... I love to talk with curious and open people, that enjoy critical thinking. If you're one of those, I'm pretty sure we'll get along.

FAQ
Q: What is your job?
A: I work as a researcher.
Q: So are you one of these lonely, asocial nerds?
A: Yes.
Q: What else do you do in life?
A: I am trying to construct a perfect girl, okupid is my backup plan.
Q: Are you cute?
A. It depends on how desperate you are.
Q: You seem a bit crazy, are you?
A: You are reading a conversation of me with myself.

*I do not support theories that suggest that there is an infinite number of universes. In any case, I would strongly prefer that you message me in this one.
What I’m doing with my life
I work as a researcher in some sort of computational neuroscience. I am very passionate about brains and spend a lot of time thinking about them (for confirmation see below "I spend a lot of time thinking about" part).
On the other aspect, I enjoy being outdoors and constantly looking for fun travel companions. Apply today and get a special bonus: a talk on how to build a brain in 15 minutes with Q&A after.
I’m really good at
Putting things apart and then putting them back together with some parts left out.
The first things people usually notice about me
Last few weeks it's probably that I really need a haircut.
UPDATE: Did the haircut. I hope the answer now is not "bad haircut" (see the photo with Artu Ditu).
It's probably the accent. My native language is from Slavic group, I spent couple of years in France, that probably influenced the accent. Also, I learned English by watching Seinfeld, consequences are numerous.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Science (Neuroscience, Psychology, Math...) related books. I recently discovered concept of audiobooks and love it. Write me to exchange some great science audiobooks.

Movies: Comedies and SF movies. If you're Hollywood director, I would appreciate if the latter were more realistic. Also, if you are Hollywood director, spoiler alert: we are probably not a good match.

Shows: I love sitcoms, I'll be friend with anybody who likes The Big Bang Theory (yes, it's a low bar, I know).

Music: Sorry, switched to audio books. :X

Food: I'll make best chicken stuffed with mascarpone you've ever tasted.*
*The statement is valid only if you never tasted chicken stuffed with mascarpone.
The six things I could never do without
Hm, well, I really like Internet...
I'm not very attached to things, I prefer discovering new stuff, including new people, places, food, brain (I might mention this one before) and other science stuff...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
"I went to the cave and saw a beautiful bat".
How do I automatically know that the word "bat" here stands for an animal, not the baseball bat? It's obviously the word "cave" that gives it out, but the word "cave" is presented few words before "bat" - how does the brain make associations across time?

"Baker opened the oven and pulled out the tloob"
What neural mechanisms account for associating tloob with e.g. bread or pizza when neither is mentioned in the sentence.

Say you hear words: "table table table(loud) table (gap of few seconds) table table table(loud) table (gap of few seconds)" your brain will remember the structure and recognize the pattern very quickly. How?

Why Clive Wearing remembers some childhood memories?

If one cuts the connections between the two brain hemispheres what happens with the consciousness (split brain)?

How to build an artificial human brain (computer software that will process information in a same way humans do, including what we refer to as thinking process, memory and emotions)?

If you find this interesting, I strongly encourage you to contact me.
On a typical Friday night I am
It's actually Saturday night, but I guess it still counts - well I am in front of my laptop, lying in my bed, listening to the music from my neighbor through the wall (some techno, don't like it) and trying to write something that will make you to write something to me. Being pathetic again? Get drunk and it will sound romantic.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I own an imaginary spaceship.
