My self-summary
Sometimes I feel like my life is an early episode of Friends or How I Met Your Mother...before everybody tied knots and had kids.

My interests are probably the same as yours: outdoor adventures, happy hours, mini road trips, long road trips, pool, beer, Nerf disc gun fights, kick the know, typical stuff.

I put a lot into my relationships (family/friends/romantic pursuits) and sometimes leave little time for myself. My social life/writer's life is a challenging one to balance.

When it comes down to it, I'd like to take you out sometime and talk in person. I'm a very laid back single guy who enjoys the company and humor of my friends and family. I've never been married and have no children but look forward to both. I'm not about to rush into commitments of that grandure. I'd like to take my time, see how our personalities, life passions, pursuits, and humor mix. I believe in daily support, encouragement, celebration and affection. I'm also a kid at heart which turns out makes me a good uncle to my two nephews.

If you'd like to get some coffee sometime, tea, happy hour, chips salsa and guacamole, or just mosey through the city taking pictures of every fountain we find then I'd like to hear from you.
What I’m doing with my life
Paycheck: Working for the railroad.
Passion: Writing fiction.
Vocation: People oriented.
Goals: Publish, write another. Publish, write another. Get a puppy. Learn Spanish. Get some climbing shoes and then use them. Try another day of yoga. Touch my toes. Do a push-up. Go back to Mt. Si.
Social life: Pool, beer and whiskey with friends. Dinner and wine with family. Sometimes there's a sarcastic game of mini golf or a "not so competative" amature-ass-kicking game of bowling.
I’m really good at
Quoting Friends, Arrested Development, and the library of movies in my head. Suffice to say, I am really good at quoting things.

Come to think of it, that's probably why I like "quotations" so much.

"Interesting," he said, gesturing with both hands.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm wearing clothes today.
Unless it's Wednesday.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
TV, I have one. I use it for Netflix. Recent binges include Arrested Development, Dr. Who, Firefly, Sherlock, House of Cards and, dare I say, Buffy?

Books: The Princess Bride, The Griffin and Sabine Trilogy, Catch 22, Desert Solitaire, The Great Gatsby. Been diving into Ray Bradbury lately and then may start Freakonomics or Enders Game. Or Both.

Movies: Fight Club, The Emperor's New Groove, Fantasy/Sci-fi, Moulin Rouge, Pixar, V for Vendetta, Serenity, Hudson Hawk, The Power of One, The Iron Giant, Paris Je T'aime...and...How To Train Your Dragon. Yep.

Music: Depeche Mode to Ani Difranco to Dead Can Dance or anything with Lisa Gerrard. Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Munford and Sons, Ray LaMontagne, Iron and Wine, Chris Cornell, Eminem...

Guilty Pleasures...Rihanna

Food: i love food, if it won't kill me. Mexican, Indian, anything with some spice to it. I love guacamole.
The six things I could never do without
Laughter, humor and bad puns
Morning coffee
Those dearest to me
Affection in all its forms
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How many messages you girls receive in a day and are they really just one liners from shirtless stalwarts? Ok, I really don't spend that much time thinking about it but it is a curiosity. Guys get stupider the more cleavage they see. ...we see.

Things that make me go hmmmmm....

"If you wanna make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make that change."

Selling my novels and myself to a literary agent is very similar to selling myself to you. Tricky. It will come down to right time, right place, right person.
On a typical Friday night I am
In Seattle, or on a train, or in Chicago. And likely I'll have a pen in my hand.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I really want to make out in a car wash.

"Well color me happy, there's a sofa in here for two!"
I’m looking for
  • Straight girls only
  • Ages 26–37
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
If you are also single, that should be the first thing we have in common.
If you want to say hello and meet someone new.
If you've made it this far and at some point smiled.
If you want to know what I really think about.
If you think what-ifs are iffy.
If you like the song "If."
