My self-summary
I'm from the south (North Carolina) where people still say "sir," "ma'am," and "ya'll," drink sweet tea, open doors (all doors) for ladies, enjoy big wrap-around porches, and have family dinners on Sundays (the WHOLE family, aunts, uncles, cousins and all. :) I don't really enjoy the heat while bailing hay and riding a tractor in the middle of the summer heat though. I lived and worked on my fathers farm for 10 years before enlisting in the Army after 9/11, which definitely opened my eyes to the world. I was an Infantry Officer and also competed in mixed martial arts while serving. I also learned that I LOVE skydiving, and I HATE getting hit and kicked in the face.

I've lived all over the world - New Mexico, Germany, Hawaii, North Carolina, and New York City, and absolutely fell in love with the place. I enjoyed walking everywhere in NYC and not have to worry about where to park a car. I definitely see myself going back someday. However, while driving out here to LA from North Carolina I discovered a new love for the peaceful open plains of Oklahoma and Texas, the crisp clean deserts in New Mexico and Arizona and the "magic" along I-40 and Historic Route 66. :)

I'm the youngest in my family with three older sisters, but was never picked on by them. They pretty much guarded over me, which I did the same in return. When I was big enough I would "interview" their dates when my father was deployed.

I'm a writer and lover of life. The next chapter in my life brought me out here to sunny southern California. :) I've been in Los Angeles since August 30th and love it so far. I've been to San Diego, Venice Beach, and ate brunch at a nice little diner a few blocks from my apartment and didn't even realize I was sitting right next to Morgan Fairchild...who's gorgeous!

Anything you want to know about me, just ask.
What I’m doing with my life
I was in the military, then worked as a news reporter in North Carolina for five years. After that, I headed up to New York City to test the waters for news and acting while I was going to grad school for my MBA. Now I'm out here in LA going back into the film and television industry after taking a sabbatical from it.
I’m really good at
Being a smartass! ;) Just kidding...kind of. Not really. Okay, not at all. (I'm really a smartass. Take it or leave it. ;)

Well, I haven't found that one thing that I would say I'm "great at" but I'm pretty good at anything physical since I was an athlete growing up and in college. Kind of ambiguous, but I'm just good at living life. (Just ask and I'll tell you.)
The first things people usually notice about me
I guess after my curious grin, blue eyes and southern accent, they notice that I actually listen and pay attention. I try not to give advice unless asked because I don't like to be pushy at all.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I don't have one favorite of anything, but I'm a sucker for anything southern. I like the movie, "Sweet Home Alabama," and anything by James Patterson or Nicholas Sparks, though Sparks has been getting increasingly predictable.

I also love listening to live music with friends and family. Could be anything but I like country, R&B, rock, reggae, anything really.
As for my favorite food, c'mon I'm a guy, we like any kind of food. :)
The six things I could never do without
My family, (they're my rock and I will always do anything for them,) my friends, a powerful shower after a long day of doing whatever (usually surfing, working out, hiking, etc.), a good sense of humor, my southern coastal waters of the Outer Banks in North Carolina, and my surfboard. :)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I'm a huge film buff! So I think about movies and such. Love'em. But more could be said later.
On a typical Friday night I am
Something I learned while living in New York City is that there is no such thing as a "typical" anything. But like I said, I like to listen to live music while drinking wine or beer. So it's either live shows or spending time with friends and family. I love grilling out with my family. However, they're all in North Carolina so I'm on to a new chapter of Friday nights. :) I'm open to suggestions.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
The last four digits of my social security number are 7410; my mothers maiden name is Twizzler; my telephone password to my bank is "kayak." Wait...was that too private? You mean you're not supposed to put that stuff on the internet? ;)

Actually, it's probably the time I was being bullied as a kid and my oldest sister chased the bully down the school hallway and beat him to a pulp and broke his arm...all while wearing her cheerleading uniform. (Sigh.) Yeah. It was pretty much implied that if anyone messed with "blondie" (me) that my sister would kick their ass. (Thanks sis. That didn't make my childhood difficult at all.) Lol...but hey, I have a close knit family and they made me a better man.
