I am Unique, A Smart Ass, and a Yank.

My Self-Summary

I am a yank who is in the process of getting my visa and course stuff straightened out so I can make the move to London. I am going to be in London in September and probably at least once more before I move. I am Ivy League educated, but tend to not bring up the school I went to much because I don't really feel the need to pound my chest about. I am a major wise ass and try to find time to laugh. I have held some really stressful jobs in the past, so it has made work easier to tolerate. I grew up in Southern California not too far from Disneyland. Believe it or not, it's probably been 4 years since I've been.

As far as hobbies, I do play hockey. I have mostly been playing roller lately, but have played ice as well. I have been playing for 17 years actually. With school, work and having a social life it becomes difficult to fit in many hobbies outside of hockey, especially since I have played a lot of travel hockey since graduating from high school.

We have all heard horror stories about online dating, so I am trying to keep the realistic viewpoint on all of this, but if I had my choice I would like to meet someone I can enjoy life with and travel with. I grew up close to my mom's family, so someone who can handle me wanting to fly back to California once or twice a year would be a good thing too.

What I’m doing with my life

Right now, I am counting down the days until I am officially a graduate. I moved back to California while I wait to get my visa situated so I can spend time with friends and family. It is odd being back after living 3,000 miles from home, but it has been fun to be able to hang out with everyone. I also did a 4,000 mile drive across the country about a month ago. In the last year I have been to LA, Las Vegas, Denver, Vail, Chicago, St. Louis, New York, Maine, New Hampshire, Boston, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Washington DC, San Antonio and Phoenix. It was mixed into about 4 or 5 roud trips, but I have seen a lot of the states now (37 to be exact).

I’m really good at

I am actually pretty good at staying level-headed. Some times that requires more effort than other and some times I can't help but open my mouth, but in the end yea. :). I am also a good older brother I think. I may be a bit harsh, but hey I wouldn't be if I didn't care right?

The first things people usually notice about me

My amazing charm of course. hahaha. Actually my blue eyes stand out. I did have this lady who is about my mom's age spend way too much time looking at them and complimenting me...yea a bit creepy haha. I also have some decent style for a straight guy.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: All The Shahs Men, The Innocent Man, 1984, To Kill A Mocking Bird, The Lexus and The Olive Tree, Snowboarding to Nirvana, Colder Than Hell

Movies: I like movies a lot so it's hard to create a small list but; A Time To Kill, 12 Angry Men, Syriana, No Man's Land, Empire Records, Super Troopers, Hot Fuzz

Food: I LOVE food. I am pretty open minded as long as it isn't slimmy or still mooing.

The six things I could never do without

1. Blackberry
2. Laptop
3. Sports
4. Food
5. Drink (water, good beer, good wine etc)
6. Money (I like food too much to be broke)

I didn't put friends or fam because I think they are more than just things.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I think a lot so it's hard to list. I have always been a thinker. I am thinking about my move and also about hockey season. Hopefully Vancouver finally hoists the cup. I am also thinking about how Arsenal is going to win the EPL and Champions League this year :). I am a big RVP fan.

On a typical Friday night I am

Depends on the week. Last week I was on the rink playing pick up. Some times I am at the bar shooting pool with my buddies or out to the movies. Some times I stay in and relax.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Don't worry about it.

You should message me if

IF you are over game playing and you think we might get along. Just a warning, if you have a problem with gays and/or minorities please first of all jump in front of moving traffic and secondly don't bother messaging me. If I found it out, you might end up getting a rant from me about how your ignorance is polluting the human gene pool. Sorry I have little patience for ignorance. I have a few friends who are gay, including a close friend and I would subject them to an ignorant person, so I tend to not date any ignorant people. :) Oh if you are willing to tolerate an opinionated yank who bleds Arsenal red, definitely message me :)
