I enjoy
John
Hodgman's series of books, and really just any
sort of compendium of collected knowledge or facts, be they true or
not. The
Scott
Pilgrim series is high on my graphic novel list, as well as
Alex
Garland's, "The Beach", "Alive" and "Jurassic Park", the latter
of which was pants-on-head dumb. Been slowly getting into
Batman as well as of
late.
My favorite movie I am not afraid to admit is
Lost in
Translation. Anything with
Bill Murray in it gets
immediately
moved to the top of the list. Though, if he is the gate keeper
of
my heart, it is Steven Spielberg's
Jurassic Park which sits atop the
throne.
I'm a huge
Kevin
Smith fan, moreso as a person lately than a director, but I
find nothing wrong with his movies.
Breaking Bad,
Sons of
Anarchy,
Deadwood,
Firefly,
King of the Hill,
Home Movies,
Bob's Burgers and
American
Horror Story are high on my TV list.
I hate to be one of those people who describes their taste in music
as eclectic, but that's basically what's going on here. Instead of
listing a whole slew of bands in random order, I will instead tell
you that my top 3 artists right now are
Modest Mouse,
Grizzly Bear and
The Yeah Yeah
Yeahs. (Addendum: That was written a few years back, even more
recently I've been getting into dubstep. I'm sorry if you made it
this far and were starting to come around, but it's true. BUT, I'm
also loving
Sea
Wolf,
Dan
Mangan,
Portishead,
Santigold,
Fanfarlo and frig, I don't know... oh,
Chairlift. Yes,
that's the ticket!
My favorite
Pokemon is Jigglypuff.
Cooking is another
way I pass the time. I've come to realize I can cook a better steak
than most of the restaurants I frequent, which is pretty big
bragging rights in a place like Alberta.
For the internet crowd I enjoy reading
Achewood,
Penny-Arcade,
Gunshow,
PvP, and
Scary-Go-Round
