My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Who I am and who do I hope to be...

With people, I am a very sensitive and caring person. I try to be kind and honest with everyone. I am quite open-minded and tolerant. I know I’m not perfect and I try to be patient with others' imperfections.

With money, I believe that “a penny saved is a penny earned” but I also believe that money is like manure…if it's spread around, good things can happen; if it just sits in a pile, it stinks.

For myself, laughter is part of who I am. I’ve found that a good sense of humor is very important in getting thru life’s tough times. I cherish good friendships. And I love kids and animals. (I'm a big one myself, kid that is, not animal.)

In a relationship I work at maintaining good communication. That means listening as well as talking. I'm always willing to share my thoughts and feelings...just ask. My focus is finding true love. I'm more into being steady, reliable, and cradling my loved one tenderly than being a playboy. My loved one will find that I will reach out and touch her hand as she simply walks by. I’ve often felt that one can’t really be sure if they’ve found a true partner in a relationship until they’ve had an argument. “Partners” work together to resolve conflicts rather than to just win a fight.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm trying to leave the world a better place. My love of God shapes all that I am and all that I do. I think my spirituality has shaped my deep sense of compassion and justice toward others. While I don’t attend church often, I find that I can experience God in nature and in people of all races and creeds.

My job as a planner involves land protection. My job as an uncle is to share love, wisdom, laughter, and adventure with my nieces.

Speaking of adventure, I can be quite adventurous. I've I hiked down the Grand Canyon and up Mount Washington. I like to kayak and and I've tried rock climbing a few times.

Finally, I never stop learning.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Mostly theology and science. Most recently I've been reading the Qur'an and about quantum physics.

Movies: Comedies: A Fish Called Wanda, It's a Mad, Mad World,
Adventures in Babysitting, Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, Take the Money and Run ... to name a few.
Sci-fi: I like most sci-fi but Alien was the best.
Adventure: Indiana Jones

Music: No one favorite. Most anything is okay except for rap and country.

Food: In no particular order, Thai, Mexican, Indian, Italian, and Canadian (kidding!)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
This is tough. Excluding things like air, water, and food, I guess I could do without most any material things. But that is not a very enlightening answer. So in the spirit in which it is asked, I'd be pretty unhappy if I had to do without my television, microwave, and indoor plumbing.

But since life is more than material things, I could never do without a hope, a sense of purpose, and of course...love.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
One of my degrees is in philosophy so I'm not kidding when I say I think about life, the universe, and everything. Still looking for answers....

What am I looking for in a person? I’m looking for someone intimate, intelligent, and supportive. Someone with a sense of humor who is comfortable with her self, open minded, non-judgmental, and respects other people. Someone whose life priorities are family and friends and can enjoy the simple things that life has to offer. Someone who is slow to anger and quick to forgive. Life is what ones make of it. It is an adventure. My hope is to find that special soulmate. Life is an adventure but is more fun when it is shared!
