One of the first things that people notice tends to be that I'm tiny. After that, the exuberant flailing seems to be noteworthy.

Books: I mostly read non-fiction. Lately I've been on an animal rights/welfare kick, which translates to lots of reading about vegetarianism. That will probably turn into a gender theory kick at some point in the near future.

Movies/shows: Enamored with most of Joss Whedon's work. In the midst of watching Battlestar Galactica and feeling good about it. Hooked on The Walking Dead and feeling less good about it. Isn't it amazing how Netflix instawatch is totally revamping the media landscape?

Music: My Pandora stations are a gothy/industrial dance mix (titled "Music to Dance and Hurt People By"), a Shins-inspired station (titled "Chillaxin") and an oldies station (titled "Dad Would Be Proud"). Left entirely to my own devices while driving, I tend to gravitate toward shitty pop music.

Food: I'm a vegan, and mostly eat the closest thing that I can approximate to a meat-and-potatoes diet. Sometimes I throw some kale in there, just for good measure. If you go out for sushi with me often enough, you will end up trying inari. And then you will thank me.

Generally? Rope bondage. Sexuality, and asexuality. Gender politics. Dog training. Light. Photography. Evolution. Cognition. Social dynamics. Selection pressures.

Having an easy-going evening with a couple of friends and a couple of beers. Or doing something else. Definitely one or the other, though.

Sometimes I'm kind of a dictator about spooning. A joyful dictator! But a dictator nonetheless.
