On the whole I am a very normal guy. The things I enjoy most
good food and good beer (although I also enjoy fast food and cheap
sports (exercise is so good for my mood, but I can't stand
"exercising" so I get most of my exercise on the rugby field or
making others laugh (my one real goal in life)
and parentheses (could you guess?)
What I’m doing with my life
I just moved to Chicago in mid to late summer for law school. Very
exciting, but I don't know many people here yet.
I’m really good at
Repeating jokes from my favorite shows and movies.
Croquet. Well, I am not THAT good, but I am better than most people
The first things people usually notice about me
My red facial hair if I haven't shaved. Otherwise... I've no idea.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I feel uncomfortable trying to name my favorites since I go
through phases. There was a time when I thought that I didn't like
fiction. Since then I've read every Sherlock Holmes story, The
Count of Monte Cristo, Anna K. and a couple of Jules Verne novels.
Who knows what's next though? Could be philosophy, economics or
Movies: Comedies are my jam, especially older ones. The Blues
Brothers, The Jerk, The Great Race and any comedy starring Cary
Grant are pretty awesome. Action movies and thrillers have their
place too though.
Shows: Animated adult sitcoms are the best. Simpsons, South Park,
Archer and a few other cartoons really crack me up. Live action
scripted comedies such as Curb Your Enthusiasm, East Bound and
Down, and It's Always Sunny are also pretty great. House and
Kitchen Nightmares occasionally break the comedy monopoly.
Music: Lots of stuff. Tops players in my iTunes are OK Go, Weezer,
Paul Simon and Belle & Sebastian.
Food: Yes please.
The six things I could never do without
That's silly. I am way too stoic to name materialistic goods
without which I could never do.
Six things I'd prefer not to do without:
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Beer and philosophy. Usually together. Also sports.
On a typical Friday night I am
Headed somewhere for the weekend.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
"Online dating is a perfectly acceptable way for those society has
shunned to get together and, ideally, colonize another planet."
You should message me if
you don't hate fun.
